5 gates gai beats 3t madara. 7 gates beats ms Madara extreme diff and 8 gates beats any form above that if gai knows about his regeneration in juubi jin form. Gai is the only not enhanced from external sources character that can beat anyone in the NV or at least stalemate them.

Combat speed isnt the same as foot speed let alone Shunshin speed (seeing as Juubidara was way faster then 7th gate, yet had trouble with the combat speed of Gai in 7th). smh Gai wins more times then not

Madara wins. The inner gates speed boost are mediocre all the way up to 7th gates. Madara blitz and SM user and could also fight on par with SM Hashirama in cqc who is physically stronger than any gates version of gai except for 7th and 8th. On top of all that Gai can't even maintain the gates for an extended period of time so he loses.

8th gates Gai isn't beating Juubi jin Madara at all. Even when they got rid of his TSB Gai still couldn't kill him. Plus plot restricted him from using Limbo which would have torn Gai apart. Not to mention that was the weaker form of Juubi Jin Madara and Gai still couldn't seal the deal. Stalemate any char in NV? NO!! Naruto pre RSM would spank the shit out of Gai. Rinnegan Sasuke shit stomps gai. DSM Kakashi makes short work of him. Kaguya stomps him Toneri stomps him. Juubi Jin and MS Obito beats him.
