Alot of people believe stay at home dads to be lazy and ineffective as a men unlike the woman who they see to be a hardworking mom raising kids. Why is that? Society has placed the burden of being the main provider of the family on the man. Why?
Would you say criticism is mainly from their male counterparts or other women? Some idiots believe it's degrading for men. I say it's 2016 and things have changed.
Not to be an *******, but I honestly couldn't care less about the criticism going toward hard working stay at home dads as well as hard working dads in the labour force. In my opninion, there will be always be people with nothing to do but everything to say about those who are trying hard to make something of themselves and provide for their families. I do believe the criticism comes from both sides however.Would you say criticism is mainly from their male counterparts or other women?
Dang it! I can't +Rep you. I agree you 100%.A man providing for his family is or being the head of his household is an element that has been established in the institution marriage before biblical times but gender roles are disappearing with each generation.
^Thats your answer.A man providing for his family is or being the head of his household is an element that has been established in the institution marriage before biblical times and is a consistent standard in many cultures but gender roles are disappearing with each generation.
I've never met a stay at home dad btw.,
Give it time, millennials are more accepting.Because people are stupid, that's pretty much the reason for every issue a society has. Times fortunately change and people need to stop with stupid stereotypical views on gender and lifestyle.
For the worse, yes? Some idiots believe it's degrading for men. I say it's 2016 and things have changed.
I will probably be blatantly bashed for this comment but so be it, I believe women are biting off more than they can chew by removing gender roles. See the men will have to deal ith the fact the women might not have enough energy to have *** after they come home from work, which would build frustration and probably just lead to more single women being parents and so forth. In addition to that, the women who have too much pride to admit they're tired will just burn themselves out and get even more frustrated and think it to take it out on the man. Not only is this gender role swapping dangerous but frankly i don't thik we as a species are ready for it.For the worse, yes?
OT: if its really befitting for a man to stay at home and raise kids, nature would have had men conceive and give birth to babies.
It's pretty normal for people to condescend on stay at home dads. It's been a woman's job for as long as man could remember.
