It's highly unlikely that Kishi made a mistake on that drawing. It will be for the first chapter of the Boruto Manga, only for those who exclusively buy the chapter at Kuzuhaeki store.

That's just a sample though isn't it? Not the final version? Or just a scan someone made at a store of stuff in stock? If it's not a mistake I'm a lil disappointed tbh. Unless there's new levels to the sharingan past 3t? I guess some people would guess it's a rinne sharingan but there's no ripple from what I can tell
