Most of the Great villains you mentioned had Great back story eg.Joker,Dr.Doom (especially him), Jason todd,clayface

Just because they have a backstory doesn't change they're evil for selfish reasons. That's the difference between Naruto villains who want to change the world to avoid their idea of pain and villainous villains who want to control or destroy the world.

You know how I know you've never read a comic? Because otherwise you'd know better than to oversimplify legacies like Victor Von Doom and actual expanded mythology like Loki Laufeyson.

I love it, but manga is extremely hollow for the most part, shonen even moreso. Recent western comics are largely being accepted as modern artforms. 'The Wicked and the Divine' explores contemporary celebrity culture and human ego/fragility whilst recent Marvel events have given Breaking Bad or even Shakesperean detail to it's characters' long histories and psyches.

I love manga but for the most part- it doesn't compare. Obito is one of the most in-depth and interesting characters in all of anime- yet through all his vulnerability and development...doesn't really have much on 50-60 years of character-based storytelling. No bias, I love both. It's common knowledge and obviously makes sense when you look at the amount of time, writers and exposure these figures have had in different adaptations.

At least kaguya remained consistent with the ass kicking. Madara nearly kills Sasuke/Naruto once and then they came back and opened up an ass whipping clinic on him while he was in his most powerful form.
Kaguya was winning till Kakashi step in. The whole point to in being the better villain is to be dominant in your plan.

How can you compare any Naruto character to characters who've gone through decades of development to reach their current point. Its not a fair comparison, but its the truth, and it allows some of them to, in mere panels, showcase more character than anyone in this entire series could ever muster.

But not the only to call Madara a poor FV. I just really think Madara damaged the manga. His hype and stuff was great but his exposure and use, awful. Kaguya I could care less about.

Read a comic one day. Or just read the bio page for any iconic Marvel character, take in how long it is- you'll thank me later. You think Naruto & Sasuke (Shonen Stereotype #1 & #2) are deep you're gonna love Marvel Comics outside the generic movies. Will blow your mind.
