Madara regenerated from Onoki's Jinton, which vaporizes at the molecular level. Anyway, the Edo bodies reform feel dust/ash/etc. They do not have a finite amount of "confetti" to draw from.

TSB works by negating the jutsu itself, thus preventing regeneration. One cannot accomplish this by simply destroying the Edo Tensei body. If an Edo's entire body was deleted, it would respawn from fresh dust/ash from the surrounding area. Maybe if it was deleted in a 100% empty space, with literally no material to draw from, there'd be am issue.

That doesnt mean it would stop edo from regenerating again and again. Unless Katsuyu's Acid also contain Omnyodon that will stop any ninjutsu.

I think you are missing the whole point.

EDO Tensei can only be defeated by sealing the soul(While there are other ways to disrupt the control. Example: Itachi vs Kabuto). How do you kill a soul ? You don't. Their bodies would just appear in a loop.

There are way more creative ways of handling them like petrification or freezing the summoned shinobi. They would be basically living statues.

Katsuyus Acid defys the laws of physics, she causes his target to fade into nothingness, she isn't changing the matter she is destroying it, which is why it's so instant
