Pokemon Go Hype

Pokemon Go release was highly anticipated by a lot of people.

I tried the game myself since I'm a Pokemon fan but the game isn't as great as I thought it would be only because you can't battle the wild Pokemon but only catch them. So I deleted the game.


Does anyone else think this game is overrated ?

How long will the hype last?its getting annoying now


I think half the players are actual fans and the other half are hype band wagon.

The exploring I totally love when I need to go somewhere and search for something rather than having everything at one place

I think you're being generous with that half estimation. I'd say maybe 1/3 are pokemon fans 1/3 are hype train passengers and 1/3 are nostalgia people who remember pokemon from when they were young. I know quite a few people from my highschool class playing pokemon go that wouldn't be seen within 100 feet of something that was considered "nerdy" or "dorky" back then.

I found a way to spoof gps and was catching lot of em
and then this happened

They did not release it to Europe :NO:
But the game is pretty good, you have to realize that what you want, the fighting and lvl up and all that stuff would be hard to do for so many people and so many regions
I think it's pretty awesome, it's fun and the hype is kinda worth it because it's made so you go outside, have fun, meet other people who are a pokemon fan and stuff like this, you have the console games for the other stuff
Can't wait to release it in Europe so I can try it

I like it, I had to actually go to my neighborhood park to get more items and pokeballs, and there was a guy there who used an incense and the park was swarming with Pokemon, definitely opens up new mediums for conversing with random people, plus it gets you out of the house. I wasn't super hyped when I heard about it, I just knew I'd try it out. Now something I am pumped for is Pokemon Sun and Moon! Can't wait til November!

Its pretty kool. Its has its flaws like my city is over run by fking drowzee but i like the concept. actually having to get out this house walking around your city playing pokemon meeting new people is kool. IMO

You can battle at gyms they are everywhere
