I see a lot of people talking down on Africa when you can tell most of them are misinformed or uninformed about the luxurious places there.

My list:

South Africa - Port Elizabeth
Dominican Republic
Jamaica
Cuba

It's a very wealthy region (for Italian standards) so places are generally clean and safe. People there are generally scared of the gangs of refugees, but if you don't get too close to them, it should be enough.
If you go in summer be careful because it will be very hot, like the whole Po Valley. If you go in winter be careful if you have to drive, because the Hidden Mist Village will look like Venice Beach if compared.
Last thing, don't overlook the possibility to visit cities like Verona and Padua (Padova) because they're breathtaking as well
