Doffy's best feats consist of beating an injured Law and somewhat keeping up wit G4 Luffy while both parties were injured. As for portrayal I don't see how he's portrayed above Vista at all and as the hype it really doesn't matter when he trumps Doffy in the other two.
Vista has literally stalemated at top tier the latter who called off the confrontation, while his portrayal off that puts Vista near the top tiers, unlike DD which is the damn opposite.

Having awakening
Breaking out of akojji ice (something only whitebeard has shown)
Toying with Jozu body (yes all he did was immobilize him but do u think Jozu liked having doffy sitting on him ...)
Negging Sanji
All of the durability feats including having all of his external organs explode at once yet having reaction speed to immediately sew them intact
Having his birdcage be able to hold off 1,000s of warriors etc.. That including zoro an admiral Barto etc
Neg diffing smoker
Challenging an admiral
Incapacitating a giant
Stating he doesn't fear the admirals (in which added to ' further to Kaido's hype )
Having a former fleet admiral highly respected vice admiral and another admiral in addition to a buster call all to escort him to impel down ...
Not to mention kaido sent one of his top 3 men to get him back etc
I honestly don't understand why ppl seem like doffy is weak as shit... I mean I know he's not strongest but his hype feats etc easily gives him the capabilities to be the first mate of a yonko
Or an abnormal vice admiral like vergo garp old lady etc
Nd yes like the commanders he along with them r the closest thing to admiral level without being an admiral... Because all of them can push an admrial to at least mid diff and def able to stall an admrial
