Healthy Itachi is on a complete different level and Edo's don't bring them back to full power. Only Madara got that "prime" treatment from Kabuto.

Amaterasu is good for situational tactics. You are fighting in a cave where the enemy manipulates the stalagmites meaning you have a small area to work with. Amaterasu can create space, a degree of separation and Itachi would be able to blitz with other techniques. Hopefully his Shuriken ninjutsu to which even the King of Hell with a Rinnegan got hit.
Kabuto cannot dodge or react to those in a split second simply because if having the Rinnegan cannot do that then I don't know why people treat Dragon Sage Mode any differently.

Itachi has displayed much faster reactions than Kabuto. I don't know what manga you are reading? His diversions through his crows to attack him multiple times with a sword proves that he has faster reactions. Kabuto doesn't need to be hit in the horn with Sasuke's sword if he had reacted to it already.

1.Kabuto shields himself against all visual genjustu. He can "see" perfectly with nature and snake qualities.

2. His reaction>>>Itachis because of Dragon Sage Mode.

3. Itachi cannot maintain Susano'o when hit with White Rage Attack.

4. Izanami does not trap you visually. It traps your inner reality. This should be excluded if Edo Tensei is.

4. Nagato had no mobility so he couldnt dodge. Not a problem at all for Kabuto.

5. Kabuto would never run out of Sage Chakra because he had Jugo's abilities.

6. He can heal any injuries he gets bevause of Karins abilities.

Last but not least. Izanami is an asspull from kishi. He literallt made Kabuto unstoppable just to reveal a haxx move perfect for defeating him.

OT: it's hard to say really. If Itachi were healthy and alive and it was 1 vs 1 and not 2 vs 1. The fight would have gone down differently. What I mean by this is:

1: Itachi would be a disadvantage stamina wise. Not an Edo means he's back to having low stamina and blindness from MS would set in.

2: Kabuto would be at a greater disadvantage. He was tearing Itachi's body to shreds at one point with the cave because he knew he was Edo and could take it. Not being an Edo means he can't be as aggressive.

3: Genjutsu. Itachi would most likely have to use Tsukuyomi which would be hard to pull off since Kabuto was fighting with his eyes covered with that snake film. And the reverse, without Sasuke to help break the sound genjutsu Itachi would get caught right there. But due to the fact he is no longer Edo in this scenario, It would be much harder to catch Itachi in that genjutsu as he'd be less wreckless with movements and more cautious.

4: Sound Jutsu- I know you guys love to Totsuka and Yata Mirror Gg but that just isn't going to work on Kabuto. His Siund jutsu was so potent that Sasuke and Itachi couldn't even keep Susanoo up and it was defeated (Susanoo) Since Susanoo carries the Yata and Totsuka it isn't going to help here.

IMHO I give this to Kabuto very high difficulty unless Sasuke is included in this fight, I'm sorry this is one fight the Solo King might not win. And I say that with no disrespect to Itachi.

This is true. Now take in the circumstances the OP just gave. Itachi is alive now. So no he can't be wreckless and let himself get hit like that. It would kill him. His stamina is pretty low so busting out Susanoo, Tsukuyomi, Amateratsu, etc is going to blind him. And in a fight with a Sage this is dangerous.

The fight comes down to a battle of attricition. And seeing as how Sages are quite durable fighters, Itachi is at a huge disadvantage here.

No he needed to deactivate Edo Tensei thats why he didnt kill him. However of course Sasuke &Itachi>Kabuto. But just itachi no I'm not seeing it. Kabuto has too many advantages over itachi including stamina and his most versatile jutsu(Genjutsu) being useless. Even itachi can lose. Not saying he cant win. Problem is Kabuto was well aware of that. Did you not notice how most of the time Itachi couldn't even touch him. And you are mistaken. Itachi doesn't use any of the 5 senses to caste genjutsu. His realm is ocular genjutsu that EFFECTS all 5 senses. If you look at him or his finger you're caught. He can then manipulate any of the 5 senses from there. This is why Kabuto immediately sealed his eyes prior to the battle's beginning.

Had Itachi been able to cast genjutsu using any of the 5 senses He would have used sound genjutsu to shut Kabuto down right there.

Susanoo: read my post again. Yata won't work if Itachi can't keep it active. Remember that sound jutsu Kabuto used that caused
both Itachi and Sasuke's Susanoo to dissipate? If he can't use Susanno he isn't using Totsuka or Yata so those are ineffective against Kabuto. And Kabuto is just as intelligent as Itachi. Don't confuse him with Sage Naruto. The guy is one of the top 3 medical ninja in the Narutoverse and a sage to boot. Plus he has been hailed to be as smart and battle Saavy as Kakashi.

Kabutos intellect is right with Itachis. Visual Genjutsu doesnt work on him. Nor does any other because he constantly absorbs natural energy fluctuating his chakra on a rapid basis.

Theres no need to counter yata mirror. Its a shield not a weapon. Kabuto has Manda2 to keep him busy while Kabuto cant strike from underneath or behind.

Mangekyou takes a huge toll on Itachi and Susanoo hurts every cell in his body. Kabuto wont even break a sweat doing his strongest techs.
