Do anybody know what "reputation" means?

Well, Im new here and I doenst know what reputation means...Does it can be achieved or smthing? And also what it is for...? I also want to know what is the green box under my avatar's box are for? When I click it, it said "FrozenHatred is on a distinguished road." Can I chg the sentence or something?

basically your reputation or "rep" is just showing if people like some of your posts or thanking your for a good thread and things like that.....it only changes when you get to a certain level of thanks and good rep points. so in the end its nothing to really worry about. its not a big deal to most members.

Reputation shows how popular you are around the forum. And that green little bar shows how much reputation you have. If it's one bar, then you are "on a distinguished road" and two bars has another description and so on.

In order to achieve reputation you need to make helpful, funny etc. posts, and the users who like it will most probably add points to your reputation by clicking the little green flag at the top right of your post.
