I believe the British have a cctv for every 32 people in the UK or something like that. In America they are using unfathomable incidents as an excuse to crack down on gun laws (which allot of Americans feel will leave them unsafe). We all know the Governments of the world use cataclysmic events(911) as a means to justice war etc etc. Snowden exposed the NSA for invading our privacy(Americans) and they labeled him with treason.

So its only a matter of time before they try something on this scale..

The U.S. has claimed the right to tap phone calls, read texts, and seize mail in the name of national security. What Snowden exposed was huge but not entirely unethical. The patriot act as its called was put in place to monitor terrorism in America after 911.

The nra are most definitely taking advantage of the situation as well, but they are still the lesser of the two evils.

True, but no one believed that really, just truthers and conspiracy theorist. yea people would toy with the idea, but no took it seriously until snowden, until wiki leaks(I mean the mass public, people like me always question everything)

Basically anybody who passes a criminal/psychological/safety examination should be allowed to own a gun. A second-tier license (obtained via another exam) can then be issued for anybody wanting to own more exotic guns.

Yea and no. Sometimes crimes are committed with emotion, not because of a lack of intelligence or mental retardation or some type of chemical imbalance. Say for instance, you can get your time reduced exponentially if you kill someone and it is agreed that you experienced a period of momentary insanity (crime of passion, instant, not premeditated). So crimes will still be committed, I dont think Dylann Roof was mentally retarded or had a chemical imbalance or suffered from a minuscule intelligence span. I think what he did was a ode to his political beliefs(blacks are the enemy etc etc.).

So those with political agendas( like the two brothers who blew up the Boston marathon) would still be able to purchase guns. So yes, it would remedy somethings, but crimes can still be committed. A guy can just as easily kill you with a knife, and if you're unarmed (no gun) and weaker than your attacker, you would be royally screwed.

You act like this is news, George Orwell wrote a book about this in 1949 and I'm sure he wasn't even the first to say it.
