She hadn't done too bad at her first try with Ganmi Genjutsu, though it was entirely different from normal Genjutsu. Nonetheless, Rey kept her cool as Lima spoke more about what she had to learn. At her rank though, it was still basic, which was great, so she could experiment with it a bit. She now spoke of altering the emotions of your foes, which would be quite something, since most Genjutsu are merely visual in nature. This would really change the entire thing, emotional manipulation huh.. A servant is brought forth as a demonstration tool. Lima was quite the steam roller type, she did what she wanted to do, she was the Candymaker after all. Nonetheless, Rey watched closely, and felt her emotions change with each representation. She breathed out steadily afterwards, as she prepares to answer Lima.
"With your first representation, all I could feel within me was warmth and tenderness, like soft grilled pork belly..one could attribute it to happiness. The second, could only be described as an odd feeling of fear, I was afraid. The third, a feeling of dread and despair consumed me like a hungry swine, sadness.. this was indeed extraordinary. Never experienced something like this before."
Remembering what Lima said, Rey realized that she had experienced three of the five emotions that could be conveyed with this technique. She had to showcase on of her own. Rey focused her eyes onto the servant and released the toxin into the air from her mouth. This was easier than before, as she now understood the basic concept behind it.
The buttery sirloin would become dark green, and black, mixed together in perfect symmetry. Combined with the change of color, the sirloin would change shape as it wrinkles and warps, darkening ever so slightly with each turn. From it, a darker colored puss would emerge, flowing off the sirloin, followed by a pungent odor of disgust. One wouldn't want to look at it, disgusting as it warps and turns, like it had become old, or left outside for too long. The smell, the look, and even imaging its feeling, rubbery, breaking off at the touch.
Rey smiled as she looked at Lima and Alice.
"I'm guessing its quite obvious which one I chose haha. Disgust, is the one. I don't think I have any questions as of yet."

Description: Harvest is one of the basic applications of the Ganmi Genjutsu. It is versatile in terms of effects and chakra cost in order to cover a wide range of applications, as well as accompany the user in terms of hierarchy within the clan, with lower clansmen having access to lesser ranks. Here, the user will use the Primary Taste of the Illusion to change how the opponents perceives the world around them with the 5 basic senses, similar to False Surroundings. It does not change how the targets see people, animals, or even themselves, only creates or alters terrains, and inanimate objects or beings. The Secondary Taste allows the user to alter the way the opponents feel their surroundings, or how the surroundings make the opponents feel, based on the 5 basic Ganmi Emotions, as stated in clan's description. They fall under one of 5 category:
Anger: The changes done to the terrain will be perceived negatively. This is usually meant to create a decoy of focus onto the surroundings, rather than entities within the battlefield. The target will chase after the terrain or target the terrain or a specific inanimate object. Ex: Create a red curtain behind the opponent, which will prompt him to direct his attacks at the curtain. A wall created with this will be a target to destroy, not to avoid.
Disgust: This is meant to guide the target away from the terrain creations, and guide them into a specific place or just make them lose focus on their surroundings or specific directions. The target will be disgusted by the terrain constructions and move away from it. Ex: Create a wall of mucus that will prompt the target to move away from it, or go around it, not targeting it but rather avoiding it.
Fear: This is meant to paralyze or make a person suspect of the terrain changed. The object of the illusion will cause great fear upon the target. Ex: Create a black wall that will seem too big, too imposing, too insurmountable for the opponent to destroy or evade, or do anything but stare at it.
Happiness: This is meant to calm and attract the target to the terrain feature. This could attrack someone into it, or guide them in this way. Ex: Create a yellow pillar which the target will focus on and travel to, rather than avoiding or wanting to destroy.
Sadness: This is meant to remove the will of the opponent into doing anything. The terrain will elicit more extreme action of either defend from it or attack it. Ex: Create a blue wall that saddens the opponent, making him sad and exhausted and prompt him to do something gratifying, either destroy it or hide from it.
A person targeted by this technique can still perceive damage from the surroundings, being constricted or even cut, but only as external damage. Given the different method of casting, and the additional properties, a clansmen, especially newly started, does not require Genjutsu in order to use this technique though Genjutsu is required to use it to it's fullest potential. Without Genjutsu knowledge, the user will be able to attach an emotion to an aspect of the terrain, without actually creating a complex Primary Taste illusion, which requires Genjutsu mastery. Non-Genjutsu usages make, for example, trees appear darker or lighter, depending on the tone of the emotion, but can't be considered anything but premature Genjutsu. The rank of the user and the opponent play crucial point. Rather than wanting to move away or towards something, one can feel just an hesitation or a unforcefull will to go that can be ignored, if the difference is too big and the opponent too strong.
The user is required to describe a spread of toxins through the air 1 turn before he/she is able to perform this technique, or have had an active Saliva technique in the previous turn within 10 meters range of the target(s).
Taester require 4 handseals in order to cast this technique. They can only use it up to C rank. Biiter require the same number of handseals but can use up to B rank. Savor require 3 handseals and can use it up to A rank. Paladar require 2 handseals and can use it up to S rank. A Flavoron Paladar and the Candymaker require only 1 handseal.
Having Genjutsu as the Primary Specialty allows the user to shave 1 handseal from the total required.
All the inherent restrictions of the Clan apply to this technique.
When you cast a Genjutsu, you will change how someone perceives something, by manipulating their Senses. In Harvest, you can change how they perceive their surroundings, without being able to change how they perceive themselves or other beings. Change the walls to wood, change the woods to desert, change a dessert into a statue. Those are the types of changes you can do. You can also change a weapon into a snake. Now, at this level, and Rey, you're only able to use this up to D rank, this technique is essentially the same as False Surroundings, you can't really make your illusions have motion. As you progress in level, it becomes more complex. This is the Primary Taste of the Illusion.
Now, we might have eaten the dessert before starting with the entree, but I've taught you the Genjutsu aspect before tackling on the Emotional aspect. At it's core, this technique is undoubtedly Ganmi not just by the way it's cast, but also by it's Emotional Manipulation. We have 5 basic emotions, just as there are 5 basic tastes. They are Anger, Disgust, Fear, Happiness and Sadness.
Think of the Genjutsu as putting emphasis on a feature of the battle. For Harvest, it is the surroundings, anything that's not the Target nor an sentient Entity outside the Target. What the Emotion Manipulation does is change the way they feel about the object you focused. Stepping outside Harvest, let us start with this girl here.
Lima says, pulling one of the servants into the center of the yard.

Description: There was once a time when Tutti-Frutti was the go-to technique that showcased the entirety of Ganmi's personality and Genjutsu expertises. It was used in all ranks of power and complexity because it was the most on-point application of the Ganmi's manipulation. It was the ability to make the opponent perceive food and tastes. The user casts Tutti-Frutti, and is able to change people's perception of themselves and the world around and turn their senses into fruits, and meats and eggs and all sorts of raw to exquisite cuisine. With Tutti-Frutti, one could go from turning the opponent's kunai into chocolate cookies, or make them see their arms shred into ribbons of grilled syrup bacon. It's only limitation is the user's creativity with food. Lima is able to produce any Primary Taste she possesses to encompass this illusion. Nowadays, as Lima's personal genjutsu, it is used to train her clansmen, from the low ranked 'Sils and Buds, to the experienced Paladar, she adjust the input of chakra to fit what she is trying to teach.
Independently of the Flavoron Paladar abilities, this technique can be used three times without waiting 1 turn for the toxins to take effect. Otherwise, the user is required to spend one turn describing a spread of toxins before being able to use this technique, or have had an active Saliva technique in the previous turn within 10 meters range of the target(s).
The user can perform this technique once every three turns. S rank can only be used 2 times and A rank 4 times. After using the technique, regardless of rank, 4 times, the user requires 1 handseal to use again. After 8 times, the user requires 2 handseals. Can't be used more than 10 times.
Slowly, her sweet flavor starts building up in the area. And as it picks up strength, everyone starts looking at the servant in a different light. Literally, because the ginger head of the girl starts loosing it's red color and becomes darker and crispier. Then, a glob of butter appears on the top of her head, which quickly melts into what is now the absolutely crispier skin of a majorly tender grilled pork sirloin, that has replaced the ginger girl.
But is not only that. Because, suddenly, all you can feel is Happiness when looking at it. You're lured in, the sirloin wants you to be closer, to smell it more, to taste it even. There's only one urge here, and that's the closer you get to it, the happier you'll be.
And then, it changes again. The crispiness of the skin, which once looked so masterfully done and divine, now seems menacing, you fear it. It's not burnt but it was burnt, flame touched the naked skin of the pork and it detached from the bone, it severed tendons, one could even imagine that such phenomenon could only come to be by exposing a living animal onto the cruelty of fire, hot and excruciating. You're frozen in place, unable to move, and every inch of your skin crawls with the dread of the same fire touching your flesh, of the same torture befalling your beauty.
And... how sad... the paralysis felt like it was holding all of you, but now it's like you broke. Overwhelming sadness takes it's place. It was life, but now it's dead. Food, beautiful food, but at what cost. You're unsure whether you want to eat it or hide from it, but you feel so numb, so weak. You urge to feel gratified again, either flee from the sirloin, or destroy it, but not bear it.
Rey.
She says, breaking the spell of the Emotion Manipulation. The ginger girl, unware of what everyone it the yard felt, just seems confused and baffled.
I want you to list the emotions you felt, and then attach a fourth emotion to the same illusion, the buttery sirloin. Describe the emotions so far, and then, in real time, describe the fourth you picked. Feel free to ask any questions, please. Alice, that will leave you the final emotion, to round up the same illusion. Both of you will be using the Second Basic Ganmi Genjutsu, Banquet.
She hadn't done too bad at her first try with Ganmi Genjutsu, though it was entirely different from normal Genjutsu. Nonetheless, Rey kept her cool as Lima spoke more about what she had to learn. Rey smiled as she looked at Lima and Alice.
"I'm guessing its quite obvious which one I chose haha. Disgust, is the one. I don't think I have any questions as of yet."
Alice watched quietly as her servant was being tested on like a dummy, much to her amusement. As she was watching and reading Lima’s action she became infatuated with each use of the emotional aspect being casted by Lima. Alice was standing there awe struck by such power radiating from her leader’s examples, making it so hard for the young mistress to resist the temptations if the emotions as the buttery sirloin was manipulated over and over again. She began to talk to her fellow clansmen;
Alice: My my the amazing emotion being infused into my system really can take a toll when your experiencing such amazing feats. Now then lets see how Miss Rey di..
Alice’s speak was cut short as the usage Rey implemented cause Alice to being distressed and refused even look at the sirloin anymore. She however was instructed earlier by Lima to take command of the illusion once Rey used her variant. She recalled all the amazing emotions she felt moments earlier, the dazzling array of Happiness, the deteriorating love of the sirloin causing her deep Sadness, the Fear she felt towards the food and now the Disgust towards it. She was left with the manipulation of the Anger towards it. Alice channeled her chakra into her saliva and began to express her Toxin out causing it to spread to each member’s nose. The buttery sirloin was turning into a dark crispy and burnt state but still flared a dark crimson color and a dark eerie butter trail started to form on the fine meat as it formed into a devilish smile as it taunted all of you , causing you to grow a deep and ever so elegant hatred towards it. How dare such a piece of fine meat be so crude and mimicry, your itching to just run after it and wanting to destroy its heavenly, yet hell bound appearance.
With the genjutsu down, Alice snapped her finger breaking the trans that was set on her clansmen by the Genjutsu’s power the girl not being affected nor having knowledge of how the others felt about her.
Alice: And there we have the final emotion, Anger!~
Evidently, she wasn't clapping now. It was not like she was displeased it just that it wasn't what she wanted.
That was a great exhibition of Genjutsu mastery, of course visual and other sensory cues will enhance the emotional manipulation and even give it a sort of guidance, but they're nothing but condiments. The core is beyond any sort of sensory alteration. As Alice beautifully demonstrated, she can enhance Anger with visual and other manipulations, but the idea here is just about the intent, the perception. You don't need to see it taunting to feel it taunting. Keep your illusions exactly the same, but use Emotion Manipulation to change not the illusion, but how one perceives it. Aloud, describe how you're trying to make us feel, without using any sort of sensory information, just emotion.
Alice will demonstrate just Emotion Manipulation after you, Rey. Swap emotions now, Rey does Anger, Alice does Disgust.

Oooh, I hope I get it right this time, its a bit different tbh xD.
Perhaps she was too enthusiastic, as Lima didn't seem too enthused with her performance. Rey couldn't help but feel a bit bad, but she could do it! She was in front of her clan master, the Candy Maker. She had this! Nonetheless, she now had to take on Anger.
"Okay, I got this.."
Rey would once more utilize her chakra, and release outwards the Ganmi toxins. The normal buttery sirloin would become darker in color, as it bends and warps into a fairly different state then before. The sirloin would be eerie, and induce a feeling of mockery and anger as it resembles a certain enemy, specific to both Lima and Alice, that they both hate or have strong feelings of dislike for. They would experience a feeling of anger, and aim to target the sirloin, who now becomes a target of two powerful shinobi, the anger, the hate towards it, would indeed attract both their attentions towards it. This affected their emotions, although it started with a more visual cue, this was a Ganmi Genjutsu.
"You feel like you want to attack it, to take it down and rid it from your sight. This sirloin, why is it there? Why does it stand before you? Why does it mock you so? You want to distance yourself from it, but to do so, you want to attack it. You're..angry."
Evidently, she wasn't clapping now. It was not like she was displeased it just that it wasn't what she wanted.

Alice will demonstrate just Emotion Manipulation after you, Rey. Swap emotions now, Rey does Anger, Alice does Disgust.
Alice standing there observing the change in mood from Rey’s Genjutsu was bewitched by its effects, but she was being quite stingy that she didn’t get praise with the clap this time. She tapped her lips as she was stuck into a deep chain of thought wondering just what can she do this time. She was told to repeat the process of but only with her Emotional Manipulation aspect. Once the idea came to mind, Alice channeled chaka again into her mouth and with it released a toxin into the air to surround everyone and as they inhaled the toxin. The color of the buttery pork sirloin would turn into mucus green. The emotion inflicted into her clans men as they felt a heavy reject in their bodies, but towards the sirloin. Everyone around felt indifferent towards the sirloin, to the point that you rather jump off a cliff then be next to a such a putrid , stomach gnawing piece of meat. The sirloin was a complete turn off to the point that you all rather just stay away slowly backing off then even thinking about approaching it.
Alice wit that down dispelled the emotion manipulation and watched Lima and Rey, then towards her maids as she spoke.
Alice: You all should of felt a major disgust towards the Sirloin, the feeling of Disgust. It was to the point that you felt your stomach begging you to avoid the awful sirloin, being nothing more of a complete turn away and simply wanted to avoid it as a whole!
When you're out in a battle, you will obviously fuse together the Genjutsu and the Emotional Manipulation, but if you do not understand the difference in both, you can never say you truly mastered Ganmi Genjutsu.
She says, now moving out from her place into the middle of the patio.
You can easily evoke feelings of Anger by making something darker, or making it resemble something one would hate. While I did think you started to get the idea, Rey, there were still sort of visual cues, and that is not what I want you to focus. Let us move on to the third and final genjutsu, to allow me to exemplify it better.
Her toxins filled the air once again, and, slowly, the Genjutsu started to take effect.
Here's my description, as you see. Pink hair, long, soft, smooth. It frames my face neatly, but what d you feel about it?
Suddenly it changes into mucus green.
Easily enough, now you see it green, and now you associate it with Disgust. Even if I don't manipulate your palate, it's there. Snot, vomit, putrid, that's what you see in my hair. Combined with Emotion Manipulation, you easily feel disgust towards it. But look at it now.
The color green starts to fade, and it returns to pink. But the feeling remains.
It's pink, but... isn't it too pink now? You saw it before, it's the same pink, but it's odd. It's still smooth, but so is the pus that comes out of infected acne. It's long, but can you imagine it in a hot day, dripping with sweat.
To your eyes, the hair is exactly the same. What changes is how you feel towards it. It's disgusting, but the feeling is confusing in your head, because you remember it just the same, but now all you think about is how disgusting it seems. And that is so enfuriating.
Right?
She says, flicking her hair. The pink, that's... unnatural, it has no right to be pink. It has no right to be smooth. It's hideous, you want it gone, it's not attractive, it's not real, it's not deserving of the clan leader. How can someone present itself like that. How could she?
My hair is pink, soft, smooth, long. Nothing changed, but what do you feel now? Name the emotion, and then focus your Genjutsu onto a part of your body, not necessarily the hair, and give Alice two emotions, one after the other. Do not describe them, make us feel them. Alice will then name those two emotions and give us the last 2. Do not use any sort of visual cues to change color, or any feature of your body part. Just how we feel about it.
The idea here is, the bod part stays exactly the same. It's how you describe them to us through your description. The adjectives you use, maybe even the references you use to illustrate the body part. Emotional Manipulation is not about changing something, is about describing it to the reader, the member, in the exact way you want the member to feel about it.
It's the difference between:
1. I shoot a kunai to your heart.
2. I shoot a deadly kunai your heart.
3. I shoot a sweet and loving kunai to pierce your beautiful heart.
4. Unemotionally, I plunge a kunai into your heart, throwing it from a cold and miserable distance, my eyes dripping disdain and the loud threat of oblivion, for I am a goddess of death and you a desolated scab in the bottom of the earth. The kunai would pierce your chest and leave you lifeless and meaningless before an insurmountable obstacle.
Do not just describe how it looks, or how it is, describe it in such a manner that there's no other other possible interpretation than the one you want your opponent to see it.
I think I get it now tbh.
Listening to Lima once more, Rey couldn't help but impressed. She knew so much, but this was expected, she was the Candy Maker of legend. Rey listened carefully, and although it took her a while to understand it, she had a vague idea in her mind of what exactly to do. Lima showcases the emotions, but this time it was different. The visual cues weren't the ones leading her on, it was the feeling. The emotion. It was there, Lima had affected her emotions without needing to use visual stimuli, this was Ganmi Genjutsu. Rey had to identify the second one she used, the first being disgust.
"..I believe that invoked the emotion of Anger."
Rey says, softly. She now had to do two emotions, no visual cues and present them to Alice, who had to then recognize them. Focusing greatly, Rey released the toxins, and the Genjutsu took effect, as she now looked towards Alice. Focusing the Genjutsu onto her own face, she started. Nothing changed about her face, though. It was the same. Her beautifully shaped face, her soft as lamb skin and radiating color, almost too good to be true. Her smile, you want to be close to her, you want to be there. Her auburn eyes invoked a feeling of comfort, one just wanted to look at her. Pure bliss.
"..."
After utilizing the first, Rey went on to the second, now affecting another body part of hers. This time, it was her hands. They remained the same..but these hands, weren't they same hands that had strangled many a foe before? Tools used to rip out the eyes of her enemies? It was like they had a mind of their own, these hands. You knew this. They were capable of murder, and had been used as such. Gritty and rough hands for a young girl, hardened by the world of a shinobi. You wouldn't want to encounter those hands, hands she killed with, that she now eats with too? The fear of having to shake her hands, when they are the same that perhaps killed a brethren or held the entrails of a foe within them? No, you don't like them, you see them even when you close your eyes, these powerful hands.
Rey hoped that this time she had done better than before, she wouldn't want to disappoint the Candy Maker after all.

Alice who was simply motionless was not about to fail the trials her leader set into place again. As she quietly and patiently observed the changes in her moods towards Rey, she finally felt what the emotions where.
Alice: Happiness and Fear are the chose two by Rey!
She said after carefully taking the emotions into account. As to which she now realizes what emotions was left, and with that Alice released her toxin into the air causing it to spread towards Rey and infect her mind with the Ganmi Genjutsu. To the eyes nothing has changed about Alice, nothing was tampered with but something in the back of the mind of Rey had her focused towards Alice’s eyes. The natural crimson look in her eyes, they are so daunting and sharp. They naturally taunt you, your urges of conflict increased as the eyes became your worst enemy. You hated them more then anything else in the world, you wanted them gone. How dare such eyes to look upon you and get away with it. Damn them!
Alice was finished with the first part of training exercise, but now she must move into her second one in which she snapped her fingers and having the attention shifted elsewhere. Yet again nothing changed but this feeling…it was so heavy on the heart that you can just collapse. Her hair was so amazing, perfectly in line with her face. The natural silver texture danced in the winds, but Rey couldn’t but feel jealous towards it, it made her feel…weak. She wanted the same hair as her sensei but didn’t have the will…she lost the purpose to want her own silver hair…so close but yet so far…
Alice was done with her presentation of the Illusion and simply waited for Lima to give in her own input into the training as well as waiting for Rey to comment on the emotions she felt.
Okay so this is it. You guys learned all the Gen techniques. Let us now focus on our tongue to tongue action!
Focus chakra on your saliva glands, in your mouth, and excite them into producing more saliva, and increase its ph levels. Then infuse the saliva with chakra and manipulate it, as you would with Ninjutsu. Shoot a globule of it.

Doing as told, Alice channeled her chakra into her Saliva glands. As she did this, she used her expertise in as a Sansor Paladar in order to manipulate the PH levels of the saliva causing it to become highly acidic. She then uses her chakra to mold the shape of her saliva and with that she turned her head away from the anothers and unleashes a large globule of saliva towards the walls of near her garden of roses. A small sweat bead came down the sides of her head in embarrassment but she remains calm none the less

Now, I'm sure you've noticed that I've been quite inactive in the clan. Maybe it's time for me to step down for a while, just to get the hang of things. In the meantime, you'll probably be one of the top contenders to the rank of Candymaker. Would that be something you're interested in?

Truth be told, I have been a member for quite a while now. Sometimes I can see myself being leader of the clan, but not to the level compared you Lima-chan. I wish to spread the knowledge of our clan to those who are interested and born with our clan’s strength. I personally adore the clan, and truth be told it would be a shocker if no one takes command on your leave of absence. I may not be as strong as you, but I personally believe I have what it takes to take the clan further and further on, maybe even becoming a top tier among our rivals. I have been the most active of the clan, and despite the passing of others I wish to become the next Candy Maker to make sure the clan stays alive!
Alice said with pride. Saying her words with no holding back
I will be lurking around, tasting the air to see how you're leading the clan. But if you're fine with that and the restrictions I've set upon you in this scroll ( refer to Skype ), then Alice, I crown you the next Candymaker. May your taste never dull.
