It's not a blitz, it's a freaking slow attack that only used on immobile characters.IF it's fast your fodder god would have used it against kabuto

In both instances it were used, it literally "blitzed" two high level characters in a single panel with neither reacting and both of them had a form of sensing. The attack was clearly portrayed to be very fast.

Despite all the ridiculous claims,
Totsuka sealing Orochimaru and Nagato isn't impressive a bit, Because

Orochimaru used a big@ss jutsu that could hardly move and was a juicy target for Itachi.

Nagato wasn't in his own control, funny how Rinnegan couldn't catch that CT is nullified and Sharingan was able to locate, amidst all dust storm, and get Nagato...

Now, OT:

People with lots of firepower and brute strength AND with minimum speed comparable to Lee(w/o weights)

Do I need to bring up the scan where kabuto says nagato was too immobile and that's why he got beat!!!? Plus was Oro was a huge and slow summon then that no one could miss.He had totsuka against a fit and mobile opponent in kabuto but didn't even try to use it.what does that tell you

His immobility is irrelevant. Nagato has top-tier reflexes yet he only mentally perceived the blade when it was lodged through his body. Him being immobile is irrelevant when his mental reactions are elite and is a sensor to begin with. If he can't perceive it before it strikes him, it doesn't matter whether or not he can actually move.

Same applies to Orochimaru and quite frankly, he can still physically move. Thing is, Orochimaru also has top-tier reflexes which was displayed through his battle with KN4 Naruto yet it blitzed him with very little reaction. Orochimaru had the advantage here through Hydra, so he could've taken advantage of it's sensory ability yet he still couldn't mentally process it until it pierced him. The logical conclusion that could be made is that Orochimaru couldn't mentally process it because it was very quick.

first of all i don't get why you can be adamant that he only perceived it after he was struck when you can't even prove it.secondly how can you render immobility irrelevant in a discussion about speed and movement? that's ridiculous.
And you still haven't answered my kabuto question

It's been three years since I last made a post but I guess I'll add my two cents...

Totsuka is your Coupe De Grace...

It's not meant as some lightning quick assassination technique with a single focal point. (Sound familiar?)

Every instance we've seen it used has been against an immobile practically defeated opponent. The move itself is not meant to end a fight, but to ensure that the opposition can never fight again. Anyone with a high degree of mobility could dodge it: Naruto, Shishui, Minato, Ai, etc.

while i agree the totsuka wank in this thread is high as several characters can indeed evade it, your kabuto point does not hold. itachi needed kabuto to undo edo tensei, he had a use for him so if he sealed him up in totsuka how would he achieve that? so him not using it there doesnt prove anything

Oro was laughing in Itachi's face when the blade stabbed him. He wouldn't have dodged it even if he could. Also his reflexes doesn't really matter, he was giant target, there's no way he would dodged any attack

A large number that have attacks that can block, avoid, or simply the speed to dodgen it.

What I question now is if people can teleport once stabbed since there's a lag before the target is actually sealed. Although that wouldn't matter since they'd still have a hole in their chest.

No it's not. Mobility is irrelevant if the person can't perceive the attack. Nagato and Orochimaru clearly didn't as they had "exclamation marks" during the moment that the Totsuka blade pierced them completely indicating that they had no idea what had happened. His display against both Orochimaru and Nagato are similar to this:

Are you then going to argue that Izuna perceived the attack despite displaying shock only after he was pierced?

Fact is, them being immobile (which Orochimaru isn't) doesn't take away from the fact that they have top tier reactions and a form of sensing. The fact that they couldn't even perceive it suggests that it's very fast. Doesn't matter if they're immobile because they still have top tier perception.

And KingofPop addressed the Kabuto question.

He was laughing because the attack was weak, not because he reacted to it because he clearly didn't. That's made clear when he literally has an exclamation mark above his head when he was pierced. He was clearly caught off-guard, but laughed it off only because he didn't feel pain.

Already expressed why immobility is irrelevant, so the last statement doesn't make sense. If he had high enough reactions, then the Totsuka Blade would not have caught him off-guard. From what you're telling me, are you saying that his reactions doesn't matter in determining whether he can perceive an attack or not? I seriously hope not and that's an illogical conclusion to make.

It seems you misunderstood my point. My point was Oro let his guard down because he was "immortal". He wasn't trying to perceive or dodge any attacks.

anyone who is obviously faster than a sick Itachi or is at least operating under the assumption that the sword can hurt them.

Letting his guard down would imply that he wouldn't attempt to dodge or defend any attacks, but that doesn't hinder his capability to perceive an attack.
