Sometimes filler is canon. Kishi didnt have time to explain the history of the Sage of the Six Paths; even though we had been awaiting the big reveal throughout the series (if you remember there were Countless theories on here as to his history).

Just like the Itachi Filler, this is also to be seen as Canon.

I think you're just being a filler hater, and because of it you stop yourself from appreciating the full conclusion of the Naruto Story. Studi Perriot wont have another chance to go into the history of the Hagoromo, Hamura, Kaguya and even the very first Infinite Tsukuyomi (which led to the creation of White Zetsu).

Kaguya was also a character that Studio Perriot suggested to Kishimoto when he was trying to figure out a way to defeat Madara whilst he was running out of time to do it.

So seeing as they more or less created the character, i think it is GREAT that they are finally showing their skill in this canon, more than likely with the help of Kishi.

Just like Dragonball Super where the anime seems to be becoming Canon, thats all thats happening in this Kaguya backstory.

People complain when we are given plotholes. But complain again when presented with a completely legit and well told backstory that explains it and actually improves on the source material in that sense.

Yawwn, you seem to miss the point that Hagoromo will eventually awaken his Rinnegan and third eye Rinnegan meaning the pictures you have referenced are from different timelines.

Duh.. in the one at the top Hamuras Hair was already long whereas the anime reference his hair is short.

Lets just wait and i am sure we'll see Hagoromos transition.

This filler....is actually incredibly good. I admit at first I didn't exoect much but it was a pretty clean story. Filler haters should at leasy put their anger aside and watch it for themselves.

This actually explains a few things. It appears there's a distinction between a byakugan and a regular Ootsutsuki eye. Hamura had the former and Hagoromo had the later. The episode also implies only Hagoromo had the elemental prowess. I wish Hamura learned sage jutsu it would just make sense but then again canonically he was never displayed with any sage powers like Hagoromo so it makes sense.

Hagoromo attaining the sharingan makes sense believe it or not and he awakened 3 tomoe and is keeping it constantly active (no surprise). So I suppose instead of a mangekyou sharingan he goes straight to rinnegan. Also no my fellow uchiha fans, if an uchiha learned toad sage moade like hagoromo before got MS while he or she has 3 tomoe they will not awaken rinnegan

Also I think I like Hamura a lot more now. Even if filler I can appreciate his humor he's like a more humorous Neji which I would say SP did on purpose. But Hamura is a true younger brother doesn't even snitch on his older brother :bdpf: (even though they're twins). But Kaguya's byakugan is Kekkei Mora and Hamura's isn't. As Kaguya said FAAR superior. But it's all good Hamura will gain a Tenseigan :bdpf:. I'm surprised to say this but I'm actually really looking forward to next week. At least Kaguya has more personality. She's more regal, no nonsense and straightforward. Apperently she's an empath so she can read emotions which explains a lot during her battle with naruto and sasuke.


For those unaware gammaru is the old toad sage that prophesied to Jiriya and Naruto. What did you guys think?

He is truly the younger brother that is just playful and loyal to his big bro.

I really like their relationship as twin brothers. I never really took Hagoromo to be so dependent on Hamura.

Really glad that Kishi didn't write it as it might've gone to crap with the recycling story and parallels.

Too bad we can't use these episode as cannon materials though unless Kishi recognises them.

Although there were some inconsistencies, in regards to everything so far it's 9/10.

It's good that SP actually kept us in our toes. There are some I disagreed with but it gave me a new take on things but was not left devastatingly disappointed.

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but Kishi could have put this in the manga and not have slowed the pacing down. I hate that we're learning all this extra stuff about Kaguya from novels, filler episodes, and movies.

Well it was good episode and nicely done. I am happy that we get finally some backstory of Kaguya including a bit life from their children Hagoromo and Hamura. Also I really love what they to do to make ootsutsuki characters more deeper then they were presented in manga. However I dislike fast pacing of hagoromo and Hamura to being grown ups and even lack of Kaguya's bond with them, honestly I would prefer to see it better done with progress like:

babies Hagoromo and Hamura - Kaguya loving them deeply while doing some dark stuff in background but they are not aware
kids Hagoromo and Hamura - Kaguya caring about her sons and rasing them up while keep terrorizing people.
early teens Hagoromo and Hamura - Kaguya caring and loving as they look at to her but sometimes they are not obeying
medium teens Hagoromo and Hamura - Kaguya feeling bad as they like to hang around a lot of them own so they are esacping from her grasp and she being afraid of them finding out. Hagoromo and Hamura being suspicious
late teens Hagoromo and Hamura - Kaguya neglecting them a bit while doing anything she was to do. Hagoromo and Hamura find out truth and try to oppose their mother
adults Hagoromo and Hamura - Kaguya want their chakra back as she suspect betrayal as they push and try to influnce her to stop destroying world.

Whole Kaguya's caring and mother side in opposite to her's terryfing pressence and feeling betrayed while wanting their chakra back.

Also the whole Divine ki plot, seems like Kaguya planted it in ground so eventually she would aqcuire great power.

Agreed! She did make notion that she was waiting on some people. Also you could paint this as ancient feudal japan. During this time, love was not really something constantly expressed. Although I suppose they want to just get to the point. As Kaguya is royalty and practically a goddess this must got to show how highly she thinks of herself. Not everyone is so fond of these fillers so might as well keep it short and sweet lol. Although I agree some interaction between kaguya and her sons would be good for characterisation. Bold: Not necessarily. Madara also had sharingan (and even EMS for that matter), but he awakened a tomoe-less rinnegan like Hagoromo did. You can argue that one of Madara's eyes was blind at the time, but that was only one of the eyes. Therefore, if your statement in the bold holds true, then Madara should have awakened at least one tomoed rinnegan.

I can accept "The Last" and "Boruto the movie" as cannon material, but i won't accept SP's anime fillers as cannon simply because they have absolutely no guidance by Kishimoto. The only reason SP does this crap is to keep the show relevant to the general crowd and to keep selling merchandise & keep making money off it.
