Can Obito be trapped in genjutsu while intangible

You're mistaken, Obito's face is tangible when he uses Kamui, so he 100% gets caught in genjutsu

I'm yet to see an Uchiha get trapped in a genjutsu besides KA but I'll have to say it's only possible if you can cast a genjutsu across dimensions. Because being intangible kamui just means your body is in another dimension.

Its already been explained he sends a part of his body to the other dimension not the entire thing. He can only avoid genjutsu if he teleports his full self to the other dimension otherwise his 5 senses will still be prone to genjutsu.

If it's not true, how did Kakashi use Kamui phase and chidori at the same time ? Its already been explained he sends a part of his body to the other dimension. When he sends his full body you see him going into a spiral.

I'm saying I don't know of a scan that states that it's impossible for a user to both be able to phase their entire body or just phsae part of their body. Since Tobi has feats that imply he did in fact phase his entire body without having to go into the spiral (the ones I mentioned), and since Konan stated that Tobi can phase for five minutes, and designed her explosion trap accordingly, this does imply that Tobi is capable of phasing his entire body without going into the Kamui dimension. However, he can also just phase a little bit of his body like Kakashi does (obviously, this was shown a bunch).

Pretty sure OP meant that Obito was entirely phased anyway.

I have to disagree, if the chakra from the genjutsu can't reach his senses then I don't see how it will work.

Thats a good question and you'll probably get different answers.

In my opinion no since if i remember correctly genjutsu messes with chakra flow in the opponents brain using the users own chakra. If his body is in another dimension it wouldnt make sense for any jutsu to work on him be it physical or genjutsu, but im sure theres people who will disagree with me.

Hard to say. If intangibility is only activated when his body overlaps with physical objects. If that's the case, then yes, Genjutsu will effect him. If not, then Genjutsu might not if his eyes are moved to the other dimension.

Genjusu is not a physical attack though, it uses the person's 5 senses

When Obito sends his whole body to another dimension he uses the sucking feat rather than phasing

But even if he phases his entire body genjutsu will work because it's not a physical attack, if the opponent can look into his eyes or use his 5 senses he gets caught in it.

dude. he only sends a part of the body into the other dimension because the jutsu or tool only hit THAT part of the body. if the chakra reaches obitos face he can easily just send that part of his body away. doesnt mean he cant make his face untangible. thats only if he's trying to teleport.
