[Discussion] Are You Straight Edge?

What the title asks. Do you consider yourself to be straight edge? No drugs, no alcohol, zero promiscuity? Or do you like to cut loose from time to time and have a little fun? Are you in the middle somewhere, and like to dabble in a few things? Discuss.

If you consider yourself straight edge, what would you say influenced/inspired you to make those life choices?

I've always been Straight Edge, as I don't like alcohol taste and never been interested in smoking in my whole life (I mean I never tried to smoke a cigar, a cigarette or a joint). I've always considered *** as a part of love so occasional *** never appealed to me, as well.
And anyway CM Punk is a great guy

Straight edge I suppose. I don't drink, do drugs or smoke.

I don't feel I need to do any of those things to let loose or have fun

Straight edge doesn't have anything to do with sexual practices afaik. Maybe I'm wrong.

Most of my lifestyle falls into straight edge. I try to avoid liquor, but I'll do something like a toast at a party (engagement, significant birthday, etc.) Haven't imbibed casually since I was 17 (now 21).

I just plain don't have fun drinking. I actually get more self-conscious. xD And when you realize that the point of drinking at parties is literally to get drunk, it takes the fun out of drinking. Makes it seem like work. Especially when you go to college parties and people have the cheapest, sh*ttiest beer ever. Dear god.

That said, if I do drink, I'm a whiskey man. xD

And as far as recreational drugs go, I never understood the appeal. The only drug I've had even had a remote inclination to take up is nicotine (smoking), and that's for very different reasons than wanting to have fun. xD

I also try to avoid caffeine because coffee doesn't really agree with me and I'm not a fan of things like soda. If I get sick, I try to avoid taking medicine unless I like, really, really need it.

And anyway CM Punk is a great guy

I'm not "straight edge". I don't consider my self to be a pot head or anything but I do smoke it occasionally when my nerves get to me. And alcohol never appealed to me and I never did like the taste. Sorry my answer isn't 2 paragraphs long at the very least.

I'm the same when it comes to smoking and alcohol. I hate the taste of alcohol, but mixing different juices and drinks make it tolerable (cranberry grape <3). I've never hooked up with a person I've just met, not because I don't want to, I just haven't had the luck. I have had a occasional luck with a few of my friends in the past though.

As much as I like CM Punk, nah that kind of life ain't for me. I don't really do drugs, especially not hard ones, and tobacco doesn't interest me, but I do enjoy marijuana and alcohol when I can get my hands on it. I have a slight interest in LSD, shrooms, and DMT, but I'll in all likelihood never do the formermost since I've heard of people who got irreparably messed up by it.

I'm behind you on the self-conscious thing. I get real emotional when I drink for some reason. People tell me I turn into Drake when around alcohol. XD

If you're not drinking coffee, what keeps you awake in the morning? I've tried going three days without caffeine, and crashed horribly. I wouldn't say I'm addicted, but screwed without it.

I only drink when i go to parties. If there is no alcohol before a party, then i go without alcohol. Its not a must have.

And sometimes i smoke that good kun: but thats like 1 in 2 months lol
