In this instance, "it" is mugen tsunkyomi. Mugen tsunkyomi has nothing to do with regular visual genjutsu? Maybe rewrite your last remark, i can't tell what argument you're trying to make. ok bud?

Light AoE =/= visual AoE

IT and regular V gen are similar because they both target the eyes. The only difference is that IT has it's own unique AOE to trance the foe into the genjutsu, that unique difference enabled sasuke to block it. It's folly to believe he can neg all Vgen.

All I'm saying is that if rinnegan is susceptible to visual genjutsu, why didn't itachi use any on edo nagato? Would've been way easier to just look him in the eyes and keep him in tsukiyomi to seal instead of a battle...

Smh.... because A) he knows someone is controlling nagato and that B) tsukuyomi is worthless against edos.

If he purposely avoided from using gen because of rinnegan that would mean itachi would've already acquired intel on rinnegan's visual immunity which is extremely unlikely. Point A and B is much more logical.

How does he have in depth info on edo tensei? The only people who would know are oro, kabuto, tobirama, and madara and since none of them told him vg doesn't work on edo's, itachi wouldn't know its pointless...

Nagato was the one who gave him the intel of someone controlling them through the shadows, why do you think itachi chased and found kabuto. Info about edo tensei? Doesn't take a genius to figure out Tsukuyomi's mental damage is pointless on dead reanimated ninjas lol but then again maybe you're right. He seemed bothered by the genjutsu cast by kabuto before he was tranced into it. As for the "to figure out it's pointless" shouldnt disqualified it being unabled, especially since gen is rarely used in the first place.

No, nagato gave bee and naruto info on someone controlling them, every edo from zabuza and haku to madara knew there was someone controlling them and even if no mental damage was done, nagato would still be trapped for as long as itachi wants (remember, he has control over time in tsukuyomi) so again, why wouldn't the genjutsu king even attempt to use his greatest genjutsu, which would be repricussion free, to give naruto, the main target of the enemy, an easier time?

Your point is that itachi didnt bother to use genjutsu against nagato because he thinks rinnegan is immune to it or that it implies rinnegan is immune. MY point is telling you he DIDNT know rinnegan is immune to it or not because he has had no prior experience against it. So the conclusion is that it doesnt matter if he didnt attempt to use genjutsu for an easier win and that it doesn't support your claim at all. It was for plot progression and nothing more. Just like vote1 naruto didn't bother to use his frog summoning, the same reason taka sasuke barely used MS against killer bee, the same reason itachi didnt just susanoo/ totsuka the moment he regained control rather than use amaterasu on nagato. As for edo tensei. They both already know the user is controlling them. Has nothing to do with KB or naruto.

The only reason why people say itachi wins is because tsukyomi is the one hit wonder that Nagato has no counter for, that and totsukya.
