I believe in God, because I have been in so many situation that you could only pray for God to act and show you the way – like when my dad and mom were sick and near-to death; like when I am faced in an near-life death experience; like when I feel so worthless but still he gives me a chance to prove myself etc.

Faith is being tested by the experiences you went through

There is nothing wrong when you believe in something right?

I have a grand aunt in Afghanistan. Recently, her husband said if it wasn't for his fear of God, he'd kill her and their daughters... So an immediate impact on me is my grand aunt's still alive? Dunno.

It's f*cked, I know.

XD

And your aunt is still living with that guy? Is he not in jail? If yes, why?

This is a tricky question. I think that regardless of whether God exists or not, the fact that there are numberless people who believe in him affects our lives, positively or negatively and directly or indirectly.

the belief does have an impact, great impact on everything.
You can leave the god alone but believers wont leave you alone.

Yeah, the thread's name should be "the impact of believing in god on our life" or something among these lines. The idea of a god itself has no impact on the life. Without believers who tell others about it, many many people wouldn't even think about it in the first place.

Doubt it, without believers who teach you who God is, you'd probably have ended up dancing around a fire worshipping the moon ;)

If there is a god, then his impact on life isn't something we could see because we don't know what a godless world would look like.
If there isn't a god, then the lack of impact is also something we couldn't see, for the same reasons.
If there was once a god, but not any more, no one seems to have noticed.
If there wasn't a god, but now there is, no one seems to have noticed either.
