As seen in the scan, unintentionally Naruto's gudodama were negating here ice. If Naruto simply focused and manipulated one he could've easily freed himself and sasuke.

By this logic Naruto's gudodama wouldn't even melted the ice period as they are weak against nature energy, even more so Kaguya's technique. The fact is if Naruto simply manipulated one like a dome shield for instance, he could've freed himself and then sasuke.
