So kisame knew sasuke joined akatsuki, did kisame figure out the truth about itachi?

kisame knows about the massacre and has personally met sasuke on two occasions before itachi's death, therefore he knows enough that sasuke's goal is to kill itachi, so when he founds out sasuke is working with the akatsuki, did he ever raise a brow? question why someone whose whole life is to kill a certain someone then when he finally accomplish his goal(kind of) he decides to join the same group?

surely kisame must've realize something was up and that itachi wasn't really a bad guy, perhaps tobi(obito) shed the light about the situation to him since he was the only akatsuki aside from itachi who thought tobi was madara(obito).

Kisame did know the truth in the sense that Itachi didn't just ruthlessly kill the Uchiha off, he had a reason. He also knew that Itachi cared about Sasuke deep down.

However, he did not know the exact reasons behind these actions or care. He just left it at that as he was never going to receive any confirmation from Itachi who was adamant in keeping up this facade.
