I see no reason for Kakashi to not teach Sasuke it.

In fact, Sasuke probably would've had made a lightning Rasengan that Kakashi was trying to create at first.

Why would Sasuke need to learn something lame like that?

Why would Kakashi teach Sasuke a jutsu he didn't use.

Because Kakashi said he was like him and Chidori would fit Sasuke better.

Also Sasuke wouldn't be able to infuse Rasengan with an element. It took Naruto more than 1000 clones for it to even be usable.

Well it was probably due to keeping signature moves what they are, signature moves. More to do with Kishi's decision than Kakashi's.

Because Kakashi believed that Rasengan was useful if he could apply Raiton manipulation. Because he couldn't, he sticked to Raikiri/Chidori, so in his mind, teaching Sasuke Chidori is more effective. Also, keep in mind that it takes many, many years for one to learn elemental recomposition and apply it to Rasengan which already requires a maximum amount of shape manipulation. Time was likely a huge constraint and by trying to teach Sasuke a Lightning Rasengan would not have maximized their training time.

Kakashi didn't even consider this for Naruto until Kakashi suddenly stumbled upon a specific training method which was only suited for Naruto. He likely didn't have a training method that could help Sasuke achieve it in a short period of time.

He can only able to do chidori because of his chakra elements. Rasengan is on other hand complicate jutsu that require extremely amount of time to master and train.
+ Rasengan is base chakra only tech so for Kakashi or Sasuke to use their tech = pure base chakra will be very stupid idea since their chakra reserve is quite low. Chidori requires also chakra but since it is not pure chakra but elements summoned out of chakra.

I think you're forgetting the obvious fact that sasuke has the sharingan. Also if you recall the reason naruto uses clones when doing rasengan is because it's to hard for him to do it by himself. And he didn't have the control. Sasuke doesn't have that problem. He quickly started using chidori without handsigns and manipulated it easily.

No, Sasuke has always used seals for Chidori in Part 1.

Sasuke having Sharingan has nothing to do with it at all. He obtains techniques through the Sharingan through muscle tensions, not by recognizing Chakra Manipulation.

If he did that Naruto would be crying of jealousy.Already he was complaining that he taught Sasuke the chidori which Naruto admitted was cool and of he taught Sasuke the Rasengan what's the point of Kishimoto estabilishing rivals.

All abilities are not given to one character and rather distributed through multiple characters because that one person would be top OP.

Think of Naruto's feelings. He will be crying his ads off in his room about how Sasuke is growing much faster than him. It's not that he couldn't teach it to Sauce, it's that he wanted to let Noodles keep his cool.

he could have taught him either rasengan and chidori, but I guess kakashi chose the latter because it suits sasuke better and/or it's a bit easier to master due to rasengan's high degree of shape manipulation. Given the limited time for training, teaching sasuke chidori was probably the best course of action

lol the tittle of your thread makes me want to throw a grammar book in the air.

"How come" should be "Why Didn't"

False because Kakashi casually used a Rasengan, not to mention only Oodama Rasengan is mentioned to require high levels of chakra in the manga. Hell, even Gaiden Kakashi had the reserves to use Rasengan, but opted out because he couldn't use it with a chakra nature.

Kakashi simply didn't consider Sasuke to be of that caliber to master the rasengan that's all....:sigar:
Besides rasengan is much stronger then the chidori and difficult to master.

Kakashi wanted to pass on his jutsu to someone with the abilities required to master it.

(And you gotta admit it would be boring as hell if both main characters had the same "go-to" move in their arsenals.)

You never know. Boruto did it unconsciously.

But it would've came down to different versions of rasengan. We would've gotten a "lightning/Amaterasu" rasengan against a wind style rasengan.
