How does Hashirama counter Tsukuyomi?

Koto/Tsukuyomi/all genjutsu = can be countered the same way.

Hagoromo's blood is what made the Uchiha, and Senju (Ashura, and Indra) not only that, but he possesses the Rinnegan (which is an evolved Sharingan). Common sense is common.

Still the stipulation Itachi mentioned in Pt.1.

I don't think sight is the issue. He can be looking at itachi's eyes even if he doesn't see him and still get hit. But if you mean his eyes are closed in SM. Can he avoid totsuka since it isnt chakra to be sensed or any of the genjutsu itachi has that dont need eye contact like Kasegui

Nope totsuka is a ethereal/spirit weapon. Limbo are just madaras shadows/clones that exist in an adjacent dimension which naruto can sense using his Six Paths Sage Mode
