There is no special ability , it''s basically a boost to your already existing stats which is pretty boring for someone like zaraki who has little to no special skills(unlike yorouchi).

Like byukuya mentioned before, normally most shinigami's bankai is bigger than their shiki form. Unless Zaraki's clothing is also an extension to his bankai like Ichigo, then I take it back.

Shunsui's bankai is an abyss, ichibei's small blade on the end of the shaft is bigger than the brush, and yamamoto's flames are an extension of his bankai too. The clothing, fire, and zombies are all part of it.

Then, why dont we just say Kenpachi's brute strength is part of his Bankai as well, and call it a day. Because that's not how it works. The swords stay the same size (or get smaller, in the case of Ichigo). End of story.

Brute strength isn't tangible or a bankai, Zarakai's brute strength doesn't even involve his sword in the first place. What I'm saying is that all these things such as the abyss and the flames that come from the sword in its final form is part of the bankai.
And Ichigo has been using Hollow powers for a while now, Zangetsu said that the hollow was actually his bankai this whole time.

I'm not trying to argue here but usually shikai form is suppose to be smaller than the bankai form.

Why are we saying the physical size of a Bankai matters in any way? (also, i'm still right about Ichibe and Yamamoto. Ryujin Jakka is on a much larger scale of flames than Zanka No Tachi, which is much more concentrated. Ichibe's just doesn't change.)

And Ichigo was using Shinigami powers, albeit not directly from Hollow Ichigo. It's still a Zanpakuto, it's still a Bankai, it's still smaller. I win.
