It took two respective nerfs and he still solo'd KCM Naruto and Bijuu mode Bee. Itachi can outsmart surpressed edo Nagato but even Itachi needed assistance and Nagato wanted to ne sealed . By your logic, DMS Kumai is stronger than rinne sharingan just because Kakashi was landing blows and Kaguya while we're at it, rinnegan is stronger than Rinne Haringan because it helped sealed Kaguya away

I agree that Itachi is very smart and uses his MS in impressive ways, but honestly that can't save him from everything. IMO it all boils down to totsuka and yata being broken AF.

This^ and not to mention it was a 3 on 1 fight Naruto and Bee were there too. Itachi would have lost to Chibaku Tensei Had not all 3 used their strongest attack to destroy the core. Itachi's Susanoo attack alone wasn't enough to destroy it.

So Itachi's superior strategy and teamwork win that fight. Itachi then cleaned up the aftermath by sealing Nagato.
