I have heard some members mention that Sage mode helps one Fight / resist Genjutsu

Where in manga is this stated? :wut:

Scans would be appreciated

It's more of a theory than fact. Drawing in the nature energy acts as a friend inserting chakra into your body to break the Genjutsu. Since Genjutsu disrupts your chakra, the outside energy would be used to disrupt the flow of chakra through the process of Senjutsu, which requires your spiritual, physical, and nature energy to become balance.

Sage Mode has an special sense that can react and feel almost anything where nature is around them. And yes this can be use to exploit genjutsu. But I'm not sure about Tsukuyomi and the godtier genjutsu's.

It should expel basic Sharingan genjutsu with ease though.

So I take it that this undeer the assumption that the victim after being hit by the Genjutsu is still in a state where they can manipulate their chakra to draw in NE.

And yet Kabuto couldn't react to Izanami. In fact it it took quite a while for him to realize he was in an illusion, so why would u think that SM sensing wouldn't get thrown off by Genjutsu :wut:

Yeah it doesnt make much sense. Or maybe it should because Kabuto was fighting the king of genjutsu, Itachi the solo god Uchiha lol

Edit:

Oh yes I remember now! Its been said Itachi is the only known genjutsu user to use genjutsu outside an sensors range.

That should answer your question.

Eh, something like that, but you are directly drawing in nature energy. Anyway, it's just another release method, nothing is really special about it:

Buuuuuut with the exception of other Sage Mode users, genjutsu other than Izanami shouldn't work because Kabuto has the snake-ish ability to seal light from his eyes. Effectively combating all sorts of genjutsu.

But despite all that Itachi made Kabuto look like wet fodder lol

That had to do with Itachi casting wide range Genjutsu. In the instance with Kabuto it was close quarters. Range wouldn't be an issue

Except sound Genjutsu, smell Genjutsu, and possibly Rinnegan Genjutsu since it doesn't involve eye contact :|

Kinda hard to control chakra when your head is being f**ked with. I mean just look at what state Cee was in after Sasuke was through with him :whip: dude couldn't even stand

It stems from the fact that all sage modes showcased the ability to rely on sensing rather than sight.

If that were true, Kabuto wouldn't have had to shut off his eyesight to battle Itachi and Sasuke.

That was to avoid Sharingan Genjutsu, specifically Tsukuyomi, which is hard to break being a non-Uchiha. If Itachi could have used common Genjutsu, then he should have used his finger Genjutsu, but he didn't.

We can speculate either: (1) Kabuto was too strong for common Genjutsu or (2) it wouldn't work because of Sage Mode.

Kabuto is a medical ninja u know. And a Genjutsu user, I doubt ordinary Genjutsu would take Kabuto out :coffee:

Besides even normal sharingan Genjutsu is strong, seeing how Obito solo'd Yahiko with it, and Madara solo'd Ay with it

To be fair!, We never see Madara use genjutsu on Hashirama while in sage mode or not. We've never seen Sasuke put Naruto, A perfect sage under genjutsu in the battles after Naruto became sage.
I'm not sure why Kishi avoided this cause it would've been interesting to see if a perfect sage could be hit with genjutsu. Or perhaps Sasuke/Madara knew Hashirama/Naruto too well to know that genjutsu wouldn't work an simple didn't attempt it.

Simple, a sage mode user would have 2 different chakra types in their body (normal chakra and sage charka). If they are placed in a genjutsu all they would have to do is access the chakra that is not being control and inject it into the chakra that's being controlled.

Yet Kabuto a perfect SM user knew that Tsukuyomi would solo him :whip:

Kabuto was a perfect in only the transformation. He was far from being a SM master.

He uses more Sage Techniques than Naruto, and had better sensing :|
