Why is Superman vs Batman so hated?

I've watched the movie and I liked it better than age of Ultron.

Who gives a shit? He was good in the role and Alfred was enjoyable. That's all that matters.

Well I don't hate the movie, but it isn't the best. It could have been better.

Metropolis is just a harbor away from Gotham? They have to be more spread out than that.

What Marvel did was have a build up. 6 Movies before an star studed event which is the Avengers. We got to know the characters and the actors playing the characters. DC on the other hand is doing the opposite. Going with the big team up movie first. I would have loved a stand alone Batman movie, Wonder Woman movie then do BVS would've been cool. But BVS as a set up movie for the franchise? Well only time will tell if that was good decision. Because the movies that follow are Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and then JL.
