She did more then take care of her when she was sick, she raised her and provided Sakura with love.

If Sakura wouldn't have actually stood by Sarada as her mother, she wouldn't have had any positive connotation to refer too when Naruto asked her to think about her mother.

Honestly that's not even the reason why it's a baseless excuse.

Sasuke and Sakura have actually spent time together in canon, when they traveled before Sarada was born. While Sasuke wasn't always a good person, it doesn't change that Naruto actually talked about Sasuke during the time they were together as a Team. These are things Sakura could have said herself.

Yes she did, when Sarada asked her where her father is she just kept telling her important mission it was going to take some time and then she shrugged her question off. Why not explain the details to her daughter? She might not understand but at least she will be satisfied and content as to what's happening in their household.

Also important mission my ass. Sasuke was roaming around for a decade without any results. He could've stopped from time to time. It wouldn't keep her as upset as she was in the 1st chapter of Gaiden. I'm pretty sure you would agree that Sakura is a better parent than Sasuke.

I do agree that was a bad move but it didn't delay Sarada at all.

This action from Sakura created more doubt and it wasn't the right approach as to how to deal with your child when questioned. This is worse than slapping a child multiple times and trying to bring it to its senses.

Sakura deserves praise where's it's due. Same goes for her battle feats.
