indra and ashura's father inherited the rinnegan from kaguya's rinne-sharingan.

while indra inherited sharingan that was derived from kaguya through his father's genes.

indra is technically the first uchiha. w/ the sharingan and mangekyou sharingan. however as powerful as he is. he did not possess the rinnegan. which according to this community logic. that makes him inferior to rinnegan users since they have the six paths. so does this mean indra is inferior to rinnegan users or is the whole rinne > sharingan just a big misconception and that it varies based off the character? example: DMS obito

Of course not. Just because the Rinnegan has superior power, doesn't mean the user themselves is more powerful. As Obito would say "Indra is of the Otsutsuki Clan, and he possesses the Mangekyou Sharingan... from an observer's perspective, he is better than Nagato".

Once Nagato died, every whiff of his power disappeared. Once Indra died, his chakra remained in all its power over centuries.

By that logic Ebisu with rinnegan > any MS user (shisui, itachi, ...). That's just not right. When someone says rinnegan > Sharingan (all forms), it means if the SAME person is given both powers with the same level of experience, the "PERSON" with the rinnegan wins. An example: Say we have 2 versions of rikudou sasuke, one with EMS and the other with rinnegan. Though sasuke hasn't spammed rinnegan techs, he has shown he's able to use the basic paths (deva, preta), high level genjutsus and six paths level chakra control. If he's restricted to using rinnegan techs, he would be stronger than his version restricted to sharingan techs...capisce?

right, but the fact remain he possess the sharingan. something that pales in comparison to "god's eyes" aka. the rinnegan. if what you say is true, then regardless if it's someone as godly as indra, or someone modern like obito. the fact remains that dojutsu class do not determine who is superior and who is inferior but rather the person who is behind the eyes determines it. kinda like you said

But he became mobile after he absorbed bees chakra. Don't know bout y'all but I felt as though when nagato absorbed that chakra he came very close to his regular power. Kabuto focused his control on nagato. Which shouldvs gave him an advantage

Not at all. Nagato implanted the eye. The Rinnegan's true power can only be displayed by an original user, it's so many times stronger with Madara and Sasuke than it was with Nagato.

Indra is not just any original owner, he is THE original owner of the sharingan, and directly related to the sage with Rikudou Chakra. You can't compare the two.
