Gai could have solo'd Madara

As we all know Gai did attempt to attack Madara using the 8th Gate, and failed despite nearly killing Madara

Lets compare the physical condition of Madara and Gai at the time of the fight. Madara had just obtained the power of the Juubi.

From that point he only had small Skirmishes and sustained virtually no damage from them however Gai was an entire different story. Notice how Gai couldnt even walk without Lee's help.

Gai had fought the Biju

He fought Madara's Susano'o Army(Where as even the 5 Kage had immense trouble)

Also he helped in countless other fights earlier such as the 7 ninja swordsman

After all of that fighting and only a partial heal from Sakura(Fodder) earlier on in the day. Opening the 6th and 7th gates multiple times for long durations, Gai was clearly no where near 100% power at the time he fought Madara, I highly doubt he was even at 25% power considering he could barely walk, and yet he still almost killed Madara. If Gai was at full power chances are he would have easily killed Madara and he would have completed his Evening Elephant Sequence and with that Night Gai would have definitely finished Madara.

He didn't and I literally just proved it. He wasn't anywhere near Full Power to begin with. And even so he was strong enough to break through Goudoudama's, Fast enough to keep Madara on the defensive and could jump on air. Minato, Kakashi, Gaara, and Lee were not even needed.

The second gate temporarily energizes the body. No gate completely heals him.

This was his first time using it. I doubt he let alone Kakashi, Minato, Lee, or Gaara knew what he was capable of. So of course they helped. Doesn't mean he needed them because as he displayed, he didn't.

And yes it was Gai's strength that allowed him to punch Madara and break the Goudoudama.

It doesn't matter if he has the strength to break through Truth-Seeking Spheres. If he touches them he will disintegrate. The only reason why he was able to break it in the first place was because Madara made contact with them, not Gai himself.

During the fight I beleive it was Minato that commented that Madara has to focus on defending due to the sheer speed of Gai's attacks leaving him no room to attack. Madara on Gai's opening attack also stated that Gai was bending space and the air around him. And Even with Rinnegan and his Godlike tracing(Displayed against the Shinobi Alliance.) He could not keep up with Gai and was Paralyzed by the Evening Elephant(Which Gai couldn't complete due to previous strain) and Madara even said that if he would have landed the full combo it would have been bad or a direct hit.

Gai has the speed to evade Goudoudamas.


And Stop denying it. Gai can generate enough power to break Goudoudama.
