His answer suggests that without Sasuke, the plot would have ended after ten weeks. How does that not make him the most important to the plot?

Yes and no. What Naruto needed for the plot to continue was a rival. That doesn't necessarily mean his rival needed to be an Uchiha. It could have been a Senju, or a Nara, hell even a Sarutobi. The fact that Sasuke is an Uchiha however does validate your argument nonetheless.

Sakura obviously. Because she gave birth and raised Sarada, that will eventually become the most important Uchiha.

That's his opinion and not fact. It's obvious that he has no idea what we like otherwise Naruto would have left a good taste in our mouths. And his bias towards Sasuke as his favorite character ruined the manga. A story is written for the fans, not the writer.

This ***** just said Kishi's word that he couldn't think of a story without making the Sasuke character is just Kishi's opinion.

I dont take a writer seriously when he bases a story around an eye power even though the title for the manga is "Naruto" and his love for Sasuke ruined the manga. He really doesn't know how to write a story.

Cool, yet he made in Shippuuden at least 3 arks without Sasuke having any relevance. Including Naruto defeating Pain and Jiraya searching for Pain and Naruto befriending Kurama. Lots of arks without Sasuke.

So, who is the most important Uchiha ? Back to OP question please.

That's his opinion and not fact. It's obvious that he has no idea what we like otherwise Naruto would have left a good taste in our mouths. And his bias towards Sasuke as his favorite character ruined the manga. A story is written for the fans, not the writer.

His opinion!? It's a fact! It's right there from the creator himself! Who knows more about how a story will turn out than the author himself? If he says a character not being in the story would've made the story shorter, its true! Look back on how much Sasuke himself impacted the story.

The only thing that proves is that he turned a very shitty story into a slightly less shitty story. You guys dont understand the deeper meaning behind being a writer.

If his story got worse the more he focused on the Uchiha and sasuke(notice how part 1 is much better than part 2?) then he needs to change the way he writes. Plain and simple. Would you rather be a god of an epic universe or a really shitty one?

Writer's prerogative I suppose. I get what you are saying. Honestly I didn't really have an issue with Part I Sasuke and even liked him slightly better than Naruto then. So in that respect I felt Sasuke was a great choice to add in as an antagonist to the series. I think the real issue for me started when Sasuke actually got his revenge and learned the truth about Itachi and his clan.

His decisions from that point on left me feeling like Kishi didn't really know where to take his character. For awhile many Sasuke fans couldn't even justify him fighting Naruto in the end. For all tense and purposes he was a changed man after talking with Hashirama and learning his clan's history so his antagonistic attitude toward Naruto just didn't seem all that necessary.

But hey that's just my opinion on the subject.

Sasuke. Without him, Naruto the series wouldn't have made it past the first chapter. He gave Naruto a run for his money.
