some of this answers are baffling.
the mc spent years and basically majority of part 2 chasing sasuke all over, most of his attention is devoted to sasuke. in fact it is through sasuke we even get a background to the uchiha clan. the only character with more arcs devoted to him than sasuke is the mc. nearly half the story of the show comes from sasukes side and his conflict, we even get to know the history of the main village because of ororchimarus doing sasukes bidding by summoning the dead hokages, he ends the manga with his speech and the spin is based on his family and he is once again a key part in the movie, yet this is a question?
the most important uchiha plot relevance wise is non other than sasuke, obito though is a close second. was the one behind the kurama incident that eventually made naruto an orphan, assisted in the slaughter of the uchiha that affected sasuke, casued the war that brought all shinobis together in an alliance, was the background leader of the main group of villains. all important plot points
