This sh*t is like the Konohamaru Chunnin filler episode. Other than the academy crap it's all hinting at more interesting events & characters we've seen before (Fugaku, Danzo, Shisui)

I'm with you on this man but give it up. It's Itachi. So anything Itachi the base in general is going to floc to and defend it as canon regardless.

The Good: the animation and art style have gone back up.

The Bad: I tried watching this but it still seems subpar overall. I don't hate it but it doesn't make me want to continue watching it so I am bowing out on this "filler" arc same as the others.
