Why did Madara absorb Hashirama's senjutsu ? It didn't do anything

Did you not see his badass mokuton? Plus the sensing really came in handy when he had no eyes.

I did when did ems madara show any sensing feat? Madara is arrogant af but the one guy he threw his pride away for and acknowledged was hashi (kind of like sauce and narn) plus the guy had zero eyes he needed something more than his uchiha blood and Indra chakra to tackle the bijuus. I doubt he knew that when he took hashirama's DNA it would result in Rinnegan he thought that mixing the power of the senju and uchiha was the answer to problem. And there's no denying that he needed hashirama's power when he only had a fraction of his own.

As someone else already stated, Madara came with the expectation that Hashirama's Senjutsu would be very powerful, but Edo Hashirama was exhausted to the point where he only had a tiny bit of Senjutsu left which is why it didn't do as much as it should. Still, Madara likely wanted to use it to subdue the Bijuu or potentially resist the Juubi's Chakra with Hashirama's Senjutsu.
