Is Naruto the new DBZ?

If any anime will dethrone DBZ it isn't Naruto. There isn't anything exciting about naruto anymore only repetition and poor villains, the difference between the two is that naruto tries to take itself seriously(and fails at almost every turn) while DBZ not so much.

The things DBZ did for pop culture and especially anime is beyond anything naruto has accomplished and probably will ever accomplish.

I don't know what you are trying to accomplish by saying super is for kids, you think naruto is for adults? :lol there are anime that fit the bill way better. What is even more amusing is die hard fans of naruto have to diss other anime in an attempt to make their choice better.

If your friends watch anime like you then of course they will. However what about those that don't? I know people who don't watch anime but can identify things like ssj, kamehameha, frieza, goku etc. There is no doubt about which one is more popular

team 4 star solo'ed DBZ years ago.it's nothing but a joke now(thou funny jokes), screw attack/deathbattle dethroned the feats and opm wankers from the hype is soloing DBS in just one season. there is no hope for the dragonball series, especially from a author whose memory is so shit that he lets goku get solo'ed by a laser gun.

Team fourstar are funny but their intention wasn't to diss DBZ, you know they have hellsing parody videos as well right? Screw attack are nothing credible, they said super man was invincible and also made horrible calculations. Not to mention their silly matchups such as gaara vs toph. Oh didn't naruto get stabbed by a sword that wasn't even moving at decent speed? Nice try, but if akira toriyama's memory of DBZ was shit after not doing much of dbz for nearly 20 years then kishimoto is even worse who forgets things in under a year. :bdpf:

but popularity doesn't really mean shit...also toriyama has no reason for forget shit when DBZ's plot is as simple as toothpaste

Lol now you're just making excuses, how does someone who was blocking swords with an inferior cloak get pierced by a sword that was traveling at low speeds in a superior cloak. That doesn't make sense, the complexity of a plot has nothing to do with inconsistencies of that nature.

I only watched the first few episode, which I hear good comments from. Are the rest of the episodes really that bad? If that's the case then I don't think anything can redeem DBZ. Fans failed, Professionals failed, even Toriyama failed....There exists no one who can make up for the shit stain that was DB GT
