[Discussion] Is it ok for a parent to bath with their child?

Is it ok for a parent or older person to bath with their child? This question is mostly about parents but i'll open it up to uncles/aunts etc. I was on facebook and there was a picture of a man bathing with his daughter(im assuming around the age of 3 or 4?) and it was titled "what is wrong with this picture!". I didnt think much of it. I've never bathed with my parents(adleast not as long as I can remember) but i've watched plenty of anime where parents would bath with their kids so I assumed it was something not everyone did but not a bad thing to do, even without anime I never considered it a bad thing myself. Alot of people were cursing at he man, calling him a pedo, saying his kids need to be taken away from him and some others were making the argument that a man shouldnt bath with his daughter and should only bath with his son(and mom with daughter). I chalked this up as a cultural thing but I could be wrong so I wanted to see what others thought.

Where do you stand on this? Do you think its fine for parents to bath with their child? Child being 2 years and older. Do you think its ok for a parent to bath with their child of the opposite gender? What about others like sister/brothers/aunts/uncles etc.

OT: it's all about perception, I personally don't see anything wrong with bathing with a infant child if their yours.

A parent is allowed to bath with their child provided they are still considered a toddler....its starts to cross a line when you get into child adolescents.

OT: I suppose. I mean these days everyone is just blowing things out of proportion, it's a world filled with overly dramatic individuals.

Some guy post a vid of how his dog likes to watch him eat, and gets called out for being a "dog abuser" simply because his dog kept looking away whenever he turned around. Somethings are just not that big of a deal, same goes with a parent washing their child. It's been happening for millennias

if the kid can do it on their own but the parent demands that they must take a bath with their child then yes, that is weird as hell
if i had a kid i would personally cover my naughty bits if i had to be inside the shower with them

That's stupid if you ask me.

In general:
I think it is absolutely okay. When I was little, maybe up to 3 years old or so, my sister and I bathed with my dad and my grandparents and I don't see why this would be a problem. If I had children, I'd do the same.
It has nothing to do with sexuality, but with a very strong bond of family-relationship.

Im the father of 2 young boys and see nothing wrong with it until they can wash themselves properly.
Nothing wrong with their mother too .

I've read it and already knew that drama with the picture too. I still think that the ***/gender of the child has nothing to do with this. D:
