No, he didn't. He would have no reason or time to summon the Mazo. Ignoring his retconalicious history, he is supposed to have created the Bijuu and sealed the mazo at around the same time, meaning there is no reason for him to summon the mazo at any point.

Nope Black zetsu was created when Gedo mazou was hurling in space to make moon so they are not connected, Later BZ just fooled Madara making false impression of comming from Gedo Mazou, well at least that was manga has shown to us.

So wouldn't that mean exactly that black zetsu as chakra rods form would be inside hagoromoo?
Because in order for you to control the statue, you'll need it the rods inside of you. Hagormoo had it sealed inside himself while black zetsu came from the mazou itself.

Possible, either that or Kishi just didn't think twice about it. Also there is great possibility that Hagoromo being master of Rinnegan and having great control over such power was unaffected by BZ. However most likely BZ knows he couldn't do anything to Hago so he just waited for opportunity to strike him when some weakness get to him(or age)

Why the husk is so different in appearance compare to Juubi?

One thing I bring in here was GM eye. It suppose to be one/single eye even though without Tomoes to represent it resemblance to Juubi. Not nine separated eyes.

You are right, well maybe disturbance made by forcefully extracted chakra made some transformation of Juubi's body shape...
