To me fairy tail just gets ridiculous sometimes with it's repetitive hope-filled theme. Sometimes to the point where it's cringe worthy. At least to me
For me my main gripe with Fairy Tail was always the Hentai level fan service. Although to be fair my standards of what's considered Hentai are so strict that I once thought of quitting One Piece because I thought the Fan Service made it an "Ecchi" anime.
lol I can understand the ecchi thing, i've found the more the ecchi, the worse the plot is. With the exception of highschool d x d which has a somewhat decent plot. Ecchi generally isn't very entertaining though
Fairy Tail blurred the boundary between Shounen and flat out pornography at times, that's how saturated it is. Especially that one scene where Erza was giving Natsu a bath and the way that chapter ended, SMH Hiro you and your dirty mind
Madara's quotes are actually much deeper, which is why I loved Madara the most as villain
Hiro is fairly young, and has a story featuring many women. His mind wanders lol. Although if there was no ecchi and the story was a bit more serious-like, with less "friendship" victories, fairy tail could've been one of the top mangas of all time on par with HxH, FMA, etc.
But you can say the same for other manga that have a fatal flaw. Had Kishi developed the K12 and didn't ruin the War Arc Naruto could have been one of the greatest manga of all time.
True, but I don't think K12's development was Naruto's main issue. One of it yes, but I believe the power scaling, and the timing of the ending, was Naruto's main issue. First sticking to early part 2 power levels, for example Hidan vs Asuma, was a splendid example of how things should've remained. And also that Pein should've been the final villain. War arc was just retarded
A little too controversial, even if it rings true. Especially if you connect that quote to today
