Sasuke instead improved a lot his skill of dimensional switching and all seems to suggest he never stopped training.
So has he gotten stronger? Yes
Is now able to take down Peak Madara all by himself? No, or at least I don't think so, since Madara has more firepower, has two Rinnegan and one Rinnesharingan, has two arms (lol) and he's Juubi and Shinju powered.

Gaining the other half of Kurama automatically makes Naruto stronger... As you said, Sasuke improvement shows..
