most likely an AWAKENING........and doffy was almost at yonko level i guess...so if luffy gains more durability with his gear 4th it will be enough to fairly challenge a Yonko.....and maybe his armament haki will also improve...right now its not good enough at all....

Other forms of Gear 4. Boundman was just one, the offensive one. I hope Luffy has other forms of Gear 4, like a defensive one.

Probably Devil-fruit awakening or G5.

Luffy could not sustain G4 the necessary amount of time to defeat Doffy, but other than that, G4 Luffy is miles above Doffy. 5 punches in G4 and Doffy was KO'ed.

Couple questions, I know most think there's going to be variants of Gear 4 because he named it but isn't this form pretty defensive still being clad in haki and keeping his elasticity, he essentially got rid of his only real weakness of blades. He'll get better with his gear 4, more stamina to keep it going longer.

Yeah I agree it's more about speed and power than defense but it's still a strong defense, I was curious what a defense centric gear 4th would look like and how would it be more defensive than Bounceman?

I was thinking Luffy could have a form of Gear 4 that conserves energy. Rather than burning through is calories, he enters a form that allows him to tank blows. He tanks his opponents attacks through the battle, and once they've tired themselves out, he releases this conserved energy into offensive power by going Bounceman.

Gear 4th thrashed Doflamingo, it was the aftermath that nearly killed him.
Next would be for luffy to awaken so he can reach up to that yonkou level

Doffy was not yonko level at best he's first mate similar to Marco.... But going back to question I want him to be able to clash better with Kings haki like he did against doffy

Dude it wasn't just 5 punches it was like 40 min of gear 4th -.- and it's not miles ahead of doffy -.-
