[Discussion] The Official Shounen cliches and tropes thread

I got this idea from iNoto's comments in another thread where he deconstructed most Shounen tropes, so I thought I'd officialize it into a thread.

DISCLAIMER
I don't mind all these cliches; hell some cliches are necessary. This isn't bashing, more so than celebrating and admiring. So without further ado list all the cliches and tropes that exist in the world of Shounen:

Orphan boy protagonist
Protagonist who has a voracious apetite
Perverted old men
Nose bleeds after lecherous activities
Villains revealing their plans
Characters explaining the mechanisms and secrets of their techniques
Hot baths or hot spring scenes
Nakama power ups
Flashbacks in fights
"I'm never going to give up"
Villain says "Why don't you give up"


There's a plethora more but these are the ones at the top of my head.

Edit: Which cliches and tropes do you find the worst, illogical and or aggravating? I can't tell you how much it pisses me off when smart characters go on revealing their techniques to others, or maybe I've been watching too much Death Note?

villains revealing their plans is nonsense, why can't the writer make the villain explain the plan in their heads so the readers understand.

I also dislike the violent female tropes, it's not funny at all, same goes for male protagonist being afraid of women.

Yeah, it's silly because most of the time when their anger and strength is needed the female characters become helpless emotional weaklings that need the male protagonists to save them.

She is the quintessential disgrace to women's rights and female image after Bella Swan from Twilight

I can agree with that though I would say she is even worse than bella based on what I know. I only watched the first twilight(sister made me watch it with her) didn't care for the rest so I don't know if Bella got any worse.

Best I've seen with that is the movie Watchmen, where the heroes show up to stop the bad guy and he explains his plans. The heroes go "well we'll stop you". The bad guy goes "I launched the bombs 30 minutes ago. Do you really think I would tell you my plan if there was any possibility of you stopping it?"

Did you know that many national health and mental organizations went on air and diagnosed Bella's relationship with Edward as abusive?

A good meme sums up Bella Swan:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer slayed vampires and empowered feminism, while Bella Swan butchered feminism and empowered vampires.

Even though Part 2 Sakura isn't any where near as bad as Bella, part 1 Sakura is on par with Bella

Kid who got no talent, just pure courage
Everyone hates him at the beginning and then they find themselves moved by him
Villain who wants to save the world by destroying it
too bad the kid;s ideology is always what matters, and is ultimately always accurate without any exceptions
Kid trains hard a becomes strong
Turns out later he gots some super OP hidden cool ultra ****** fairy ass power inside his anus
Kicks the villain's butt but somehow there are never any serious permanent injuries
It's the final battle and the kid confess to the heroine
The kid realizes his friends are in danger and beats the villain with some non-existent, first ever seen flashy attack or form and boom
There you ****ing go, end of the story.

Yup it's unfortunate and now teenage girls are being brainwashed by the books and movies. It won't be long before they accept abusive boyfriends if they already haven't done so
