What does this chapter conform then? Did I ever say Serena would pop after 5 seconds being fully healed or something? The only thing this chapter hints toward is that August doesn't have or has the intention to use healing powers as he wants to find Fairy Heart fast, but that's about it.

At this point you really can burry the whole Yuri = Serena thing for so far it ever had any weight. Two chapters ago Serena obliterated Warrod and the latter was saying on his deathbed he was about to join Yuri in the afterlife. Also Makarov has spent a year in Alvarez where he met Serena and he probably met him quite a few times too when Serena was still a Wizard Saint.

Are you telling me that Warrod can't even recognize his lifelong friend and Makarov his father when he's beating them to death?

Considering what happened was years ago, and the fact that he was taken for dead, it wouldn't be a surprise. Add to that the fact that he now is another person (taking it as if he is Yuri), meaning he became immortal and stuff. His personality, and a bit his looks might have changed too, so no big surprise I'd say.
I dunno but this whole thing got me confused. All the founding members of Fairy Tail somehow had a backstory, except Yuri.
Well, it might just be me, but I think it has something to do with Serena ...

Logically, this chapter didn't change a thing since last week. The only thing it showed was a panel with Serena lying face-down on the ground, which was already the case last week. So the story made zero progress on this part of the plot.

As I said before Gildarts survived having his arm, leg and a few organs being removed by Acnologia and lived, so it's not that unbelievable to think he survived. Even more so when his character remains unfinished.

Dude, this whole thing about Serena = Yuri is solely based on that the two share a moderate resemblance to each other. If you take that away, it's based on nothing. Then Serena might as well be Erza's father or Jura's long lost brother. Are you telling me that Warrod, who was Yuri's best friend and had been for years, probably even decades, and who was thinking about him on his death bed can't recognize him, while we can despite we saw only a handful of panels of either characters? Are you telling me Makarov can't even recognize his own father, but we can? They might be old, but they aren't senile.

Also Warrod never had a particular back story and Precht is also so and so. The only one who truly had a real backstory, was Mavis.

Well okay, it may seem a bit far fetched, but hey, it's not impossible. We've seen similar things happen in various media (movies, animations etc). so it's not like it can't be.
I too agree that they should have recognized him if it was really him, but idk, I feel like it should be left as an open spot for discussion nonetheless.
Well, Warrod was somehow featured in some important things, while Yuri was there just as a filler character I'd say, who accomplished nothing but death ...
There's this other thing too. We actually need a backstory on Serena if he is not Yuri, and by wondering how many other important things are there to be shown, I guess we won't be getting anything more than some words. Or he will just be left dead and end his hype ...

Wow! Acnologia is definitely tiers above Zeref, August said "he's not an enemy we can hope to defeat..... However if his Majesty obtains fairy heart, that may no longer be the case" meaning even with Fairy Heart Zeref might still be below Acnologia.
I never thought I'd miss Gray stripping, this chapter was classic FT

Those guys will definitely show up for sure. Jellal with his 7 Generals and Gildarts maybe when Cana is in some serious trouble maybe something similar to what happened in the Tenrou Island.
