WE are NOT what we LOOK LIKE. There is more to us as individuals than what we look like, what religion we practice, or where we were born; underneath all these constructs we are one. We are human.

So when we judge someone based on their appearance, we are missing out on discovering the incredible being which exists under the surface. It is both a lost opportunity on our part and an injustice against the other’s right to be recognized as a whole and complete person.

When you realize that these are just labels, which society has given to each and every one of us, a profound shift occurs within. You begin to question the lines that divide us both psychologically and even physically, on our maps. Maybe there are alternate reasons for the crises that we are facing in the world today and the labels are just a cover because we have been convinced for so long that we are all separate from one another.

Or as The Dalai Lama says: humans have created this problem, and now we are asking God to solve it, which makes no sense.

“We were meant to be free and only until we remove them all, and stop living and thinking so small will we be free to see ourselves and each other for who we truly are.”

Why do people resort to or accept the labelling of others? Do you think it's wrong and why? Do you put up with it or do you cut it at it's root? Discuss.

But names, age are also labels,we created labels so we have something to talk about.
Are you anti naming kids?
Are you Pro immigration of ISIS to Europe ?
You're contexting this out now. We're not talking about names here. We're talking about labelling people judging by their appearance, instead of labelling them by what's in their soul and who they are as human beings.

People are perceiving other people as rich, poor, black, white, asian, jew, muslim, gay, straight, fashionable, stars etc. Instead of perceiving them as complete human beings. We're all the same underneath it all.

Ofcourse I'm against the obvious herd of Trojan horses.

We can take the immigrants/refugees in consideration here, countless ppl are being labelled as muslim extremists/fanatics/terrorists over a "fistful" of american mercenaries also known as ISIS. Their whole religion is actually labelled as extremist. Don't get me wrong I'm not religious, but I hope you get what kind of a thread I'm painting here.

So video is only about racism.Perhaps i over reacted.
This video reminded me off some feminist videos where they say male, female *** is just an illusion.

I disagree with the video, race is important and all races should be given equal respect.

The celebrated Russian writer Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn who once shared your spirit describes his disillusionment eloquently (the quote is from the Solzhenitsyn Reader and is an excerpt from 'Two Hundred Years Together'):

“Before the camps, I regarded the existence of nationality as something that shouldn’t be noticed - nationality did not really exist, only humanity. But in the camps, one learns: if you belong to a successful nation you are protected and you survive. If you are part of universal humanity, too bad for you.”

The dilemma here is that giving allegiance to humanity alone will not make your enemies do the same. They will continue to see you as a member of a group. And yes I know, to do the same is to perpetuate the cycle - it's the Red Queen's race all over again. To fight an unpleasant fight that never ends and never gets you anywhere, or to suffer the same fate as that of countless peoples who have fallen victim to their fellow man? I choose to see the world as it is, and not as I'd like it to be.

Its human nature to categorize/label, and whether we like to admit it or not, judge others(at least unconsciously) based on what we think about their appearance. Is it an unfair judgement? Perhaps. Given what our nature as human beings is like, is it inevitable? Yes.

No person is born as sexist, racist or homophobic. It's all a learned behaviour. When we unlearn this false conditioning, only then we'll have world peace.

You should never take something based on the face value. Always be persistent in trying to know people more and you never know, maybe you’ll end up making a friend for a lifetime, even if they’re from a different race and culture.

Race and culture has nothing to do with it. Seeing as how there are manyyyy variations within a race/people and whatever background you may belong to or whatever your upbringing was, there is always an element of bias amongst people. It may be different things for different types of people, but superficially judging by appearance is human nature and you can't get rid of that. To be 100% unbiased is to no longer be human, and that's not possible.

It definetely isnt inevitable.
people simply have to start taking a broader perspective.
