This was brought up plenty of times before the manga ended...and as you can see the forum is still ok, there is the Role Playing section, and plenty of other things to do, so I think we can find something to do
Kishi won't let the goose go so easily.
Toriyama hasn't let go of DB an he's still going with folks still reading and watching.
Kishi will do the same, there's too much left out and too many who will want to do GT type Naruto along with the new gen.
Kishi can skrew this all up an people will still check it out and even pay to see it. As I said, just look at DB, a few character developements and the series is going on 20... 25 years.

I just like discussing things here. More than just Naruto. Lots of topics & debates that people bring up. Maybe start doing fanfics, short stories & other things to use. Coming up with a plot synobsis at work about a "Vanguard Armada" that literally saves universes as a hobby. Real cool details but not done.

No I mean people keep complaining about how we always get fillers and why canon keeps getting put off. My question is what are you guys gonna do once the actual canon end? The people who want canon probably wants the anime to end sooner since all they do is complain. Fillers are preventing that though.
Dragonball was able to come back because it was a very revolutionary and impactful anime/manga series said revolution and impact can still be seen and will likely never be forgotten. It hasn't been forgotten and never really was which is why it always sold video games and many other merchandise so well.
It can even come back from canonically ending after 30 years because of this.
Naruto on the other hand is not revolutionary nor did it make an impact the likes of dragonball's. So its safe to say it won't be remember as much.
Hell people are already dropping it in legions since the anime is what like 70% non canon filler most people dont give a shit about. Not a good reputation for an anime. And as for the manga well lets be real we all know the ending was not very satifactory or at least that's the general consensus.
The only merchandise it's really selling are those half assed storm games that get less inventive with each new installment. And that's just one game series dragon ball was selling games left and right.
In short, its very very unlikely Naruto will be able to pull a dragonball because its nothing like dragon ball. Dragon ball is on a completely different level than Naruto.

I agree with you that DB change the atmosphere in manga/anime world but the japanese don't see these fillers as fillers an that's why I say that Naruto will be around for quite some time. It may not be on DBZ lvl but it's got the same effect in many aspects. & As people notice, Naruto has so much unanswered plots to it that what we call cannon could be done all over again like DBZ has with extras that's not in the original cannon as we call it.
The Naruto manga/anime is not DBZ but done the right way, it could very well last just as long as DBZ. Mr Moto has a goose here if he plays it right. I mean think about it, DBZ GT was not of Toriyama's doing just oversite but folks call that cannon because of the characters and their different stages of transformations based off Toriyama.. Naruto could be done the same way with this new gen coming in and for the most part people will watch and like it weather cannon or not.

I'm pretty sure they're going to made an anime adaption of Naruto Gaiden & the new series. but i'll probably watch those.

This forum definitely lost a lot of traffic once the manga ended. I barely log in anymore and the same is probably true for many others. There was more of a reason to when manga was coming out, much more to discuss. Maybe the new manga will bring some people back.
As far as the anime once the canon material ends i probably wont pay much attention to it. I might watch some of whatever they decide to do next but I probably won't watch it weekly. Thats the very reason why they have been raping us with months and months of filler episodes. They know once the canon material is done, not as many people are going to watch. I get it to an extent but its been so long since theyve released a canon episode its just getting ridiculous.
