Shodaime's power

Alright, lately I have been trying to figure out how in the world Shodaime was capable of controlling all 9 Bijuu's, have the strength of Hercules and have powerful Ninjutsu's, Genjutsu's and Taijutsu's. Yes, I know some of you think he had that New Senjutsu, that Naruto is currently learning. But last night I was doing some reading and I found something interesting. When Yamato went to use his technique on the 4-Tails Naruto to forcefully revert Naruto back to normal. The reason it worked was because of the 1st Hokage's necklace that Naruto was wearing. Now right off the back this made me think.

If it was the 1st Hokage's necklace that amplified the power of Yamato's technique for it to work on Naruto. Then who says that the necklace didn't do the exact same thing for Shodaime? I think that the only reason Shodaime was as powerful as he was is because of the necklace.

Well the Kyuubi is the strongest of all the tailed beasts so I can see why he would have trouble surpressing it

Degrading yes, but we can't rule out the fact that Yamato has the power of the 1st hokage and his power was amplified when he came in contact with the 1st hokage's necklace. So the same could have gone for Shodaime. Because figure this when the 8-man squad came across Tobi during the Sasuke and Itachi fight. Nobody was able to land a blow on Tobi a.k.a. Madara Uchiha. But needless to say Shodaime beat Madara so many years ago.

I am still going with the fact that Shodaime's true power came from his necklace

we never know he always had the necklace due to the fact it was called the 1st Hokage's necklace. Yes Mokuton is a powerful Kekki Genkai but it wouldn't help him in fights against the fire breathing Uchiha's

Yamato was only able to revert Naruto because of the 1st Hokage's necklace. I can guarantee that if Naruto wasn't wearing that necklace then Yamato wouldn't have been able to stop the Kyuubi

i wasnt talking about reverting naruto i talking about holding him so that he could perform the jutsu. and yes i know what happens to wood.BUT have u ever seen a forest fire burn all trees except the really big and strong ones? if not check it out and u will see a tree with enough density can withstand fire

hmm interesting theory but i dont think that shodaime was powerful just becouse of that necklace....the necklace has the first*s chakra embedded in it so thats why yamato was able to suppress the kyuubi becouse the necklace reacted to yamato*s chakra who is similar to shodaime*s.
