It also lead to Akainu getting ****ed up and being sent down an hole which ultimately saved him, not to mention this is a WB who had an already existing hole in his chest.
That saved Whitebeard, not Akainu.
Whitebeard left that clash so weak, Teach and his rookie cronies were able to kill him with simple gunshots and sword strikes.
Akainu left that fight with the strength to fight all of Whitebeard's commanders minus two and dozens of pirates, all seasoned fighters of the New World, by himself and received no further injuries.
Whitebeard obviously was in worse condition. Now if a crew that consists of mostly rookie cronies could kill Whitebeard in that state, Akainu definitely could. Even while Whitebeard was in top condition(for his state), Akainu got the jump on him and could have easily killed him if plot didn't demand he thrust his fist into his stomach rather than the center of his face. You gotta be delusional to think Whitebeard could have left that clash in anything but a charred mess.
then i guess garp with the intention of killing or hurting Akainu was a 'joke'? no way
i don't think so, garp would have really hurt or probability killed Akainu if not for sengoku holding him down
Bloodlust equals strength now? Sengoku could have held down Garp because he knew the image of one Marine duking it out with another would have been disgraceful for the Marines, especially when Garp is a face of the military force And/or because Sengoku knew Garp would have been killed.
How is it impossible for Garp to have been the strongest Marine at MF?
Garp is slightly inferior to WB in strength. Akainu would have killed WB, so I have no doubts he can kill Garp.
