The manga is canondragonball super manga is non canon.
The manga is canondragonball super manga is non canon.
kishi is not even drawing it. you not gonna convince anybody that this shit is canon.LMAO!!
But seriously. Manga series, not anime, are usually canon. In fact, I don't think it's heard of to make a non canon Manga series.
At least I haven't seen it.
Point I'm making is that it only exists here, and no, I'm speaking specifically on 'what canon dictates in other countries'. It seems to be a big problem here, but in Japan, not so much.Actually 'fan-canon' does exist, it's called 'fanon', but it's basically fanfic and that's besides our point.
The term 'canon' in fiction is something used by fans to distinguish what content is genuine in the story line.
I already made a post on Kishimoto's and the new works logic. The point I'm making here is that Kishimoto is done with Naruto promptly. The One shot, is a one shot, the man pointed out that he is working on something else, that being the Sci Fi Manga coming out in the future. You said it yourself @bold1. That is what's universally accepted as canon. This new series however is not done by Kishimoto personally, even if he approves of it, it's still a different author and series all together. Mitsuki's one shot is canon because Kishi will write/draw it, but you're gonna have a hard time trying to convince everyone that the Boruto series is canon, because like we already established, what's universally accepted as canon is Kishimoto's manga serialization.
You do realize that the Anime is made from the Manga right? This comment itself is contradictory, why do you think fillers exists? Or Movies? Because they aren't in the Manga.@Underlined: A manga doesn't have any more credibility than a movie or an anime episode if it's done by a different author. What makes the manga undoubtedly canon is the fact it is Kishimoto's (the creator's) work, and he happens to be a mangaka, but when the mangaka is somebody else, then that's no longer the case, and it doesn't hold anymore relevance than a movie supervised by Kishi.
The new series isn't Kishimoto's anymore. He handed it over to someone else.So like I said previously, this new series doesn't stand on the same ground as Masashi Kishimoto's NARUTO serialization. And 'canon' is a subjective and fan made concept, the only thing that universally accepted as canon is Kishi's manga serialization. Anything else will always be subject to people's opinions.
Bowflex's so afraid Naruto and Sasuke are going to get more feats. :lol
wrong, kishimoto didnt sell or give his copyright ownership of naruto. it still belongs to him. this isnt the same case as lucas arts and disney, naruto belongs to kishi, therefor anything outside of his story telling and art is filler manga or not.Point I'm making is that it only exists here, and no, I'm speaking specifically on 'what canon dictates in other countries'. He handed the series onto someone else, which is his editor and the Novel script writer. Basically, the next generation series rights are given to someone else. Kishimoto is only there to supervise the entire program. Doesn't change the fact that this Manga series, is canon.
I mean can you list any Manga series that are not canon?

Anyway I already spoke about it above.

No one argues over canon when it comes to Manga.Actually it does, that's the whole point.
Some people will argue it (like what you are doing right now) but it will never be universally accepted as canon because it's not his work.
The problem is they can't because the new series isn't Kishimoto's anymore. He gave it away basically. You can complain that this isn't what Kishimoto wanted, and you can argue that Kishimoto's story differs from the new 'one', but they are both canon overall.Of course lol, I didn't even mention the anime, this was random.
EDIT: Actually I understand why you brought this up, since a manga is the original source then it has to be canon, right? In this case the new series has it's own canon, which studios can animate and even add fillers to. But people will always argue that it is separate from Kishimoto's canon.
Manga in itself is universally accepted. Its credibility is the fact that SJ is releasing a monthly series dedicated to Naruto again, meaning they are taking this as a serious piece of work, it isn't an animated Movie, this is the real deal.Nothing's contradictory, it's very simple, the manga is universally accepted as canon to NARUTO (which is Kishi's story) because it's Kishimoto's work, but since this is a different author and it's only supervised by him, then it no longer has anymore credibility than a movie supervised by Kishi.
Thank you, I'm proud of you for proving what's wrong with this community![]()

Even I don't like the outcome.

We are basically entering NARUTO Manga once again :/
I made an edit before you posted. Dunno if you want to read it, but I'll respond afterwards, with or without the edit made lol.
Example majority of Star Track tv episode original and nex generation were righten by other people under its creator supervision like DC Fontana who created the Romulans and its Star Track canon.
Its a direct continuation of the series, but take it as you wish lol
Toriyama didn't create battle of gods himself, I'm pretty sure he just created the designs and revised some of the script. As for Resurrection of F and the upcoming universe tournament arc he was involved in making an overall plot but toei is in charge of adding in details and they are changing plot points from the movies. Now, would you consider DB super to be canon? I would.
Its not exactly the same case with this one since we don't know if Kishi will be involved with the plot but as a supervisor i'm sure he will have some degree of influence.
Still not canon :sdo:
also, not everything is clear cut like GT when it comes to canon and non-canon. Just look at star wars, George Lucas isn't writing the story but you would be stupid to disregard the new trilogy :lol
