This is in regards to Itachi & Minato, Not a battle between the two.

I personally give it all to Ita, Minato is smart, no doubt, but Itachi exceeds to another level.

Well I'm not sure. Itachi was thinking ahead, but so was Minato. Shit he made that seal on the notion that Naruto would master its power someday and stop the person who stopped the Village.

Which all came true. Hell, he even believed that Naruto was the 'Chosen one' BS before he died, before anyone else. Since they are both perfect, I would say they are about the same.

Intelligence I would give to Minato. He has shown more overall intelligence while Itachi's has been mostly battle related.

Battle Tactics I'd give to Itachi. Going with the first point, I think he has shown a sharper skill set in this area than Minato. Which is impressive when you consider Minato's battle style is tactical, but Itachi has had some impressive improv moments.

As for who's smarter overall I personally think Minato but it honestly could go either way and they're likely more or less equal in truth. Both are problem solvers, analytical thinkers, researchers and developers (Minato's jutsu vs Itachi's medicine), and fight with tact and strategy. A convo between those two would be crazy I bet

Battle tactics on Minato. Itachi just has to use genjutsu on others since he is adept at it while Minato himself not only has FTG but has his Rasengan and maybe some of his Fuinjutsu skills which we haven't seen much in battle. Also that Minato wasn't prepared and he figured his situation out. Itachi seems to be well aware on his opponents.
