Kakashi was worried about his chakra levels just to think he was going to use raiden. Remember he used like 5 raikiris in the war without *****ing about Chakra, but raiden was a chakra problem. Thus it has more chakra than Raikiri, it's more powerful for slicing purposes. Raikiri might be concentrated in one point, better for piercing, but raiden works better here when you try to slice.

It's not chakra surrounding arms. It's literally arms made from chakra.

The cloak over the body has the body underneath and is a denser concentration of chakra. We know this because the chakra that forms the arms and in naruto's case the chakra-double comes from the body's cloak.

If the chakra was denser in the torso then it'd have a different colour.

The chakra arms are as dense as the main body. The jinjuricki's body being inside doesn't add more durability.
