Right. Kishi ended up breaking too many basic rules in order to keep Obito's identity a secret. Kind of aggravating in hindsight.

Maybe not in all cases, but it does seem clear to me that in many instances, he must have been using MS to do what he was doing and it was simply hidden from us.

What about this? Madara claimed that Obito "slipped away" from the rocks. Him lying about it would have to be very convenient given what Obito's MS power turned out to be.
