What i mean is that how many people out of the billions of people in the world that celebrate christmas,do you think celebrate the 25th of december as the birth of christ and not just exchanging of gifts between family and friends. How many young kids these days actually know the real meaning of christmas and not just an holiday which they expect to get gifts from santa claus.

It's ironic that you call it the real meaning of Christmas when:

1. It, along with much of the general concept of Jesus, was plagiarized

2. Jesus was not born on the 25th

3. Christmas was originally a Pagan custom

If it's like that why isn't the name changed,it should just be called giving day.

Not a lot of people know the origins of Christmas, and not a lot of people like their traditions being trampled on if you haven't noticed. The far right was pretty steamed when Starbucks had just a bold red color for their Christmas design. So imagine when the word Christmas isn't there?

Yeah, I agree with the Freakenstein and Riker. Still, Christians say any given day doesn't matter or something like that.

Very few celebrate Jesus, and if they do, it's just going to Church, which I don't think is enough.

I'm not a Christian, nor do I celebrate Christmas, but I like the holiday season, it's fun, so no complaints from me.

A lot of the traditions in Christmas like the mistletoe and wreath have pagan roots.

I celebrate it simply because it's my brother's birthday.

Yeah, Christmas is fun and cozy. Get to hang out with family with the new things you got, and best of all, no college to stress yourself with!

This ^^^ That's why it's still called Christmas. It's become a cultural milestone, especially throughout the Western World, of a time of general jolliness, family, and relaxation.

Probably only a small percentage of those who identify themselves as Christian observe the holiday in only a strict religious sense.

The other holiday traditions celebrate giving, family, friends, and time away from school and work. It's fun.

I know of it. Hell even a Muslim video explained it after a true Christian explained it. It's crazy man...

If I recall, it's based off of some Paganism then lead to 1800's... it was banned around England or Britain I think in the 1500's I forget sometimes lol

Christmas is not even a christian holiday.

Remember the christmas tree itself with the balls in it represent the way pagans used to dry amanita muscaria mushrooms. The whole thing revolves around pagan rituals and psychedelics. The red and white garments that popes, priests and the santa clause wear links back to the amanita muscaria mushroom.

also around the world there are more people that celebrate it on the 24'th :)

Christmas didn't start out a christian holiday. Christians just noticed that people liked to celebrate the winter solstice, and decided to slap their brand on it. There's not even any proof that Jesus was born on the 25th if he even existed in the first place.

I don't find it ironic at all. He's right after all.

OT: Pretty much every Christian I know. There's no such thing as a "international Christmas" in my country.

Probably only a small percentage of those who identify themselves as Christian observe the holiday in only a strict religious sense.

And what might you mean by "a strict religious sense", if I may know?

Please elaborate further, when you find time.

Wich rules, also why 24th? Where did you get the stats?

Not really.

Also, wether Jesus existed or not isn't even debatable. He is a historically established figure.
